In the narrow streets of the port city in Alabasta.
Uehara Naraku had just walked in, only to be surrounded by Drake and Yakushi Kabuto from both front and back, making him frown slightly.
"I am Vice Admiral Drake."
Standing in front of Uehara Naraku, X Drake unreservedly explained his purpose: "Uehara Naraku of Baroque Works, Colonel Tina ntioned you. I am here to invite you to join the Navy. The Navy will overlook your past cris."
"..."
Uehara’s expression slightly changed.
To be honest, Uehara Naraku didn’t expect Vice Admiral Drake to bluntly invite him to join the Navy. Doesn’t everyone need to get to know each other slowly?
"There’s no need to doubt."
Vice Admiral Drake’s face was a bit serious, and he continued in a booming voice, "We have investigated your actions at Baroque Works. Even in the dark Baroque Works, your heart still holds onto justice. The Navy is your true ho."
"Sorry."
Uehara Naraku clenched his fist and said in a deep voice, "I cannot betray Baroque Works... No one in this world dares to betray Baroque Works."
"There’s no need to worry about that."
Vice Admiral Drake spread his palms and continued to persuade, "We have the utmost determination. No matter who is behind Baroque Works, the Navy will execute justice resolutely!"
At this point, Vice Admiral Drake’s face grew colder: "You’ve been with Baroque Works so long; you must know their dangers... You don’t want them to continue endangering the sea’s safety, do you?"
"It’s useless."
Uehara Naraku shook his head, a hint of fear on his face: "Even if a Navy Admiral took action, they couldn’t eliminate the boss of Baroque Works. You should leave; I won’t tell anyone about today..."
After saying this, Uehara Naraku was about to bypass Vice Admiral Drake and leave, but this Rear Admiral extended an arm to stop him.
Vice Admiral Drake looked at Uehara Naraku and softly said, "Then there’s no choice, I have to send you to the deep-sea prison."
"..."
Uehara Naraku was silent for a mont and slowly nodded.
He looked toward Drake, extended his hands towards Vice Admiral Drake, and assud a posture of surrender.
A hint of a relieved smile appeared on Uehara Naraku’s face: "Sending to the deep-sea prison is fine too. At least then, I wouldn’t have to go against my conscience for evil..."
"..."
Yakushi Kabuto’s face froze for a mont, and he subconsciously pushed his glasses because he felt his boss was getting better at talking nonsense...
Vice Admiral Drake’s sternness started to fray. He looked perplexed at Uehara Naraku: "Uehara Naraku, if you don’t dare betray Baroque Works, why do you save so many people behind the pirates’ backs?"
Vice Admiral Drake didn’t make a move to arrest him. Instead, he continued to ask: "You must actually want to save more people, right? Now here’s an opportunity... Please trust the Navy; we’ll never let any evil go!"
"..."
Once again, Uehara Naraku was silent.
After a long pause, he slowly lifted his head, looking at Drake: "You ca too late. Justice delayed is no longer useful. No one in this world can stop Baroque Works’ ambitions anymore..."
"What do you an?"
"Before Baroque Works was discovered by the Navy..."
Uehara Naraku’s gaze gradually beca heavy: "Our goal was to obtain an Ancient Weapon. Now the boss of Baroque Works has it!"
As Uehara Naraku spoke, his eyes grew dim. It was as if he were recounting a nightmare: "As long as the boss of Baroque Works wishes, he can easily destroy any country, any island in this world! Kill any person in this world!"
"Ancient Weapons..."
Drake’s expression changed.
The legendary Ancient Weapons Pluton, Poseidon, and Uranus were almost universally heard of, though not often ntioned these days.
Because of too much ti passing, history broke off.
Everyone thought the Ancient Weapons had long beco a myth.
"Even without that weapon, the Navy still couldn’t deal with him."
Uehara Naraku stared at Drake, his voice growing increasingly fearful: "...that person... is the world’s nightmare... Even Whitebeard now couldn’t..."
At this point, Uehara Naraku seed to realize sothing. A flash of horror passed over his face, and he quickly broke free from Drake’s arm, swinging a fist at Vice Admiral Drake’s face!
As Uehara Naraku launched his attack, he shouted urgently: "Get out of here quickly, I nearly forgot, an advanced agent of Baroque Works is coming to et today, they’re the boss’s trusted ones!"
"What..."
Vice Admiral Drake quickly blocked Uehara Naraku’s fist.
As Drake’s face showed a slight surprise, he suddenly heard a casual voice at his ear: "Uehara, get out of the way quickly! If this guy is an enemy, let kill him!"
A lump of clay suddenly landed on Drake.
As this Vice Admiral couldn’t help but look to the sky, he saw a clay giant bird flying overhead, making his eyes flash with astonishnt.
Especially when Drake saw the blonde youth on the clay giant bird, his expression changed instantly!
"That’s..."
Vice Admiral Drake’s pupils instinctively shrank: "Blast Artist Deidara, is that guy also a mber of Baroque Works?"
"Die!"
Standing on the clay giant bird, Deidara laughed arrogantly: "Hahaha... Art is explosion, boom!"
The next mont, the clay on Drake exploded abruptly!
Drake, caught off guard, was blown away!
Uehara Naraku attacked Drake simultaneously, but in reality, he was covering Yakushi Kabuto’s rapid escape with Drake, as they perford a chase scene directed toward Vice Admiral Drake of the Navy and Yakushi Kabuto, the Navy Major!
Until Yakushi Kabuto and Drake hid in a secret store. When Uehara Naraku saw them, he let them go and led Deidara in another direction.
After Uehara Naraku and Deidara left.
Drake finally breathed a sigh of relief. Watching Yakushi Kabuto bandage his wounds, he spoke on his own: "Blast Artist Deidara, destroying an island single-handedly, and to think he’s a mber of Baroque Works too..."
"Vice Admiral, let’s focus on healing first!"
After helping bandage Drake’s injured arm and shoulder, Kabuto continued: "Deidara seems to have only done that once, yet his initial bounty was 75 million Belly, but his strength might exceed those Great Pirates with a bounty of 100 million..."
"Perhaps..."
Vice Admiral Drake nodded noncommittally and softly spoke about the matter: "At least today we didn’t co away empty-handed, Uehara Naraku’s attitude has loosened..."
As he said this, Vice Admiral Drake took out his Radio Snail and dialed Navy Admiral Sengoku.
Marinford.
Navy Headquarters Base.
Navy Admiral Sengoku answered his Radio Snail: "Vice Admiral Drake, is sothing the matter? I rember you’re currently in... What? Ancient Weapons!"
"Yes."
Drake’s voice carried a trace of gravity: "I’ve already contacted Uehara Naraku; his attitude has slightly softened. This is the information we gathered from him, but he still fears the boss of Baroque Works too much."
After finishing, Vice Admiral Drake continued, "One more thing, Blast Artist Deidara is an advanced agent of Baroque Works..."
"I understand."
Suddenly, Sengoku’s tone grew serious, gravely giving instructions: "You must find a way to uncover all of Baroque Works’ secrets! I will dispatch soone to assist you. If it involves Ancient Weapons..."
"This is SWORD Squad’s first mission, and if possible, I hope for an Admiral’s support at any ti."
Vice Admiral Drake glanced at his injured arm, softly continued: "Based on the preliminary information from our contact with Uehara Naraku, Baroque Works’ boss doesn’t seem weak. Support from headquarters is of little benefit..."
"Understood."
Sengoku thought for a mont and agreed to his request: "Admiral Aokiji has been patrolling the first half of the Grand Line recently. I’ll order him to rendezvous with you all, assisting you in your actions and supporting your mission!"
