The massive body of the giant Puki resembled a clumsy sandbag in the face of rage.
The figure enveloped in a ghostly blue fla tore open horrifying wounds on the fungal body with each flicker.
It was only supported by astonishing regenerative abilities that prevented it from being utterly destroyed in the first instance.
Consecutive heavy blows sent large chunks of the fungal flesh flying; Number Four Puki struggled to regenerate while taking hits. Its once formidable Puki-like appearance was no longer recognizable, leaving only a huge tangle of mycelium rolling awkwardly across the battlefield.
The scattered remnants of mycelium piled up around, exceeding the original size of the giant Puki.
Number Four Puki was filled with grievance.
It didn’t understand.
For the first ti, it possessed such a formidable power and faced a worthy opponent. The overlapping joys of these two experiences brought about even more joy.
It should have been a mont of dream-like glory, yet why had it turned out this way?
The power of rage continued to rise.
Even without any combat skills, purely relying on brute force output, the regenerative abilities of the giant Puki began to fall short of the destruction rate.
Endless regeneration drained a trendous amount of magic power; the two skills relying on magic power, [Regeneration] and [Fungal Filant Reassembly], were the first to fail.
The remaining [Life Essence] could create life force out of thin air, but without the assistance of its two subordinates, it was also helpless in the face of the peak rage.
With the final heavy blow landing, Number Four Puki finally ended this ordeal of continuous beating, a mission without any shred of glory.
Having finally killed this difficult Puki, Rage shook its energy-sprouting head, seemingly finally recalling the unfinished tasks.
It stepped again towards Alama.
Crack—
Turning its head, her left foot remained in place, the ghostly blue fla within it gradually extinguishing, the shattered shell crumbling to the ground and turning to dust in the wind.
Next were the arm, torso, head... No earth-shattering explosion occurred, it was like burnt-out kindling, quietly extinguishing amidst silence.
The panel was gone, indeed dead.
But Lin Jun, for the first ti, encountered remains he dared not disassemble, or more accurately, scattered fragnts.
Lin Jun had never disassembled other owners of great sins.
Logically, the achievents of great sins, such as [Greed], should not be plunderable.
But what if? The terrifying appearance of [Rage] was witnessed almost entirely by Lin Jun; even with a strong soul, it couldn’t endure such burning.
Moreover, why would one burn the soul for no reason, to destroy the world?
However, Lin Jun’s unwillingness to touch Rage didn’t an Rage wouldn’t seek him out on its own.
The scattered fragnts were blown by the wind, so falling onto the remaining fungal mat.
[Acquired: Seven Sins of Rage]
When this line of information appeared on the panel, Lin Jun was utterly bewildered.
An absurdity surged like a tide, followed closely by fear.
Lin Jun reacted swiftly, instantly seizing control of the reassembling army and the small Xi, who intended to head to the battlefield to wrap things up.
Breaking open the door, he frantically stuffed his mouth with rock candy and "red wine."
The sweet crystals and scarlet liquid mingled, spilling over the corners of his mouth.
"Eat more, little mushroom."
Lin Jun, who had been furiously shoving food, suddenly stopped in the midst of the little Xi’s angry roars and returned the body control.
Who was talking to him?
Calling him a mushroom instead of Puki?
This consciousness was sowhat familiar to Lin Jun; he had heard it in the mist!
Rechecking the panel.
[Seven Sins of Rage: teoric Power (Conditions not t, not activated)]
Seeing "not activated," Lin Jun breathed a sigh of relief. He was genuinely afraid of inexplicably starting to burn.
At this mont, the Rage on the panel was in a gray status, dim like skills sealed by [Envy].
Yet Lin Jun noticed sothing else beyond [Rage] on his panel.
Three lines of numbers.
[153345]
[546433875]
[9453412779]
These numbers were undergoing slight changes constantly, without any explanatory text.
Lin Jun couldn’t decipher their aning at the mont, reminding him of the torrent of aningless numbers in the Abyss.
But evidently, the phenonon before his eyes had nothing to do with the Abyss but was influenced by Rage.
Recalling the mysterious voice in the mist, the phrase "eat more" clearly wasn’t referring to rock candy.
His gaze swept over the corpses strewn along the route from Three Mountains City to the blocking point, thinking that Rage seed to have co from the mist as well.
This Rage... wasn’t it here especially to feed him?
Was there sothing in the mist constantly observing him?
Damn it!
Lin Jun hated being manipulated and treated as a toy puppet.
It was ti to consider contacting the mist...
Of course, life had to continue as normal, and not a single al of "food" could be skipped.
He was not soone who would give up a field of skills and experience out of a rebellious mindset.
Without deliberately accelerating, the mycelium naturally spread over the battlefield.
The rich nutrients allowed the fungal mat to naturally grow into a large mushroom forest in the subsequent days.
Rage’s descent was like a catastrophe, simultaneously destroying the main forces of both humans and demons.
Two Dukes of the Demon Race were demolished, and Three Mountains City of humans was destroyed, with the Archbishop sacrificing.
Yet many still survived.
The Blood Race Prince Visarius, after Rage set its sights on Three Mountains City, reshaped his body with the last drop of [Blood of Kinship], taking the gravely injured Ern with him and fleeing desperately into the sky.
The late Archbishop Ditas, though perishing himself, did not use the holy light in his final monts for a final attack, instead transforming it into thousands of light rains showered upon the warriors in Three Mountains City.
Although most human soldiers still perished in the crumbling Three Mountains City, quite a number survived in the ruins and helped each other out after Rage’s departure.
This included Shi Wu, who tightly gripped the master’s dagger.
While the main body of the Demon Race army was nearly annihilated, quite a few managed to escape in scattered groups.
Nonetheless, this war aid at annihilating the Kingdom had beco unsustainable.
Unless the Emperor was willing to withdraw defense forces from other areas dostically, Sigmund’s reassembled army was the only viable force the Empire had left to counter the humans at this ti.
This army, significantly reduced in size, continued southward, possibly causing more disasters for the humans, but completing the ambitious feat of national annihilation seed a bit lacking.
Currently, the Empire faced an attack from the Dwarves in the east and an ominous chill forming a natural disaster in the north.
Most troubling Mortis was the previous Demon King, unsealed!
This matter posed an even greater threat to the Blood Race Emperor than the current Hero, with elite Blood Guards dispatched widely to trace leads.
Therefore, this war, costly for both sides, temporarily ca to a halt.
