Zhang Zhentian is flying back to his hotown, but Xia Jing is left alone in the United States.
As Xia Jing wanders around New York, she suddenly hears a man in a white casual suit calling her na from behind. She secretly wonders if Zhang Zhentian has found her here. But as she turns around, she is disappointed; the person calling her is not Zhang Zhentian. Xia Jing walks over and asks the man, "Sir, is there sothing you need?"
The man smiles at Xia Jing and says, "Miss, you dropped sothing." He hands a wallet back to Xia Jing.
Xia Jing sees it’s her wallet and quickly thanks him, "Sir, you’re really a good person, thank you, this is my wallet."
The man awkwardly smiles at Xia Jing and asks, "Miss, may I know your na? Could we be friends?"
Xia Jing thinks for a mont and decides there’s no issue, then says to the man, "eting is fate, of course we can be friends. Besides, you found my wallet. My surna is Xia and my na is just Jing. I wonder if you could tell your na?"
"Xia Jing, a good na. Hello, Miss Xia, my na is Luo Haoran, nice to et you." Luo Haoran extends his right hand to Xia Jing.
"Luo Haoran, Mr. Luo, your na sounds nice, I’m also pleased to et you." Xia Jing extends her hand to Luo Haoran, and they shake hands.
Noticing Xia Jing doesn’t look well, Luo Haoran asks, "Miss Xia, are you feeling down?"
Hearing Luo Haoran repeatedly call her Miss Xia makes Xia Jing feel uncomfortable, so she says, "Mr. Luo, just call Xia Jing!"
"Then you can call by my na too!"
"Alright, Haoran."
Hearing Xia Jing call him "Haoran" brings joy to Luo Haoran. He asks Xia Jing again, "Are you upset? Why are you playing alone here?"
Xia Jing knows that avoiding it won’t help. It’s better to share with soone—it might not feel so bad. Xia Jing tells Luo Haoran, "Haoran, to be honest, my boyfriend and I had a fight."
As soon as Xia Jing finishes speaking, she lowers her head and starts crying. She feels so miserable inside. Seeing Xia Jing like this, Luo Haoran can only carefully inquire.
"If you don’t mind, or if you consider a friend, you can tell about you and your boyfriend. Maybe I can help you analyze it. How about that?"
"Of course."
"Then please, I’m all ears."
Xia Jing is amused by Luo Haoran’s serious deanor. Feeling embarrassed as Luo Haoran looks up at her, she quickly says, "I’ll tell you, but you can’t laugh at ."
"Alright, please go on."
"My boyfriend’s na is Zhang Zhentian, and with him, it’s like this... I never thought the misunderstandings between us would be so deep. Haoran, you know how much I love Zhentian. I never thought he’d get angry at , and even on the rare occasions he does, I never imagined he’d look at like that. Do you think I really went too far? When he ca to the UK to find , I was both happy and upset. The ssages he sent made my heart ache, and when I finally gathered the courage to et him, I saw him getting angry at a passerby. At that mont, I thought he was so petty, and then I just..." Xia Jing shared what was weighing on her heart with Luo Haoran and suddenly felt relieved after voicing it out. She took a deep breath and looked at Luo Haoran, waiting for his analysis. Luo Haoran couldn’t help but laugh at Xia Jing’s expression.
"Can I be honest?" Luo Haoran gently asked Xia Jing.
"Of course you can."
"Honestly, after hearing about what happened between you and your boyfriend, I think both of you were at fault. Your boyfriend doesn’t understand you well enough, and from what you’ve told , it seems he doesn’t trust you much either. I think no matter what, he shouldn’t have spoken to you like that—it felt a bit insulting. But I think you were a bit excessive too. I believe you must feel that your boyfriend doesn’t trust you enough, right?" Luo Haoran said to Xia Jing.
