"Grandpa, you’re overthinking. I’m an adult now, what could happen to ? I was just delayed by so things. Besides, I’m here to discuss business. Once I arrived, I got busy and forgot to call to assure you of my safety. Sorry for worrying you, Grandpa."
Old Master Zhang felt that his grandson was hiding sothing because he noticed sothing off in his grandson’s tone. He desperately wanted to know what matter was causing his grandson to choose to hide it. Over the years, his grandson had never kept anything from him; this was the first ti. Could this matter be related to him, or did Yichen et soone?
"Yichen, are you hiding sothing from Grandpa? Why does it seem like you’re speaking strangely to ? If you have anything, you must tell Grandpa. Over these many years, you know well the relationship between us!" Old Master Zhang questioned Zhang Yichen.
Zhang Yichen didn’t expect his grandfather’s intuition to be so keen, which made him even more determined not to tell his grandfather about this matter.

With that, the two hung up the phone. After hanging up, Zhang Yichen remained uneasy. This unease wasn’t for any other reason but his conscience. He felt that over the years, his grandpa had been as good to him as one could be, leaving everything for him. His grandpa wouldn’t eat or wear much, leaving everything for him. But what about himself? Why hide things from Grandpa? Would telling his grandfather really harm him? He felt utterly conflicted inside, uncertain about what he should do. He wanted to take charge of his life, yet he couldn’t bear to not be filial, couldn’t let his grandfather, who had sacrificed so much for him, feel betrayed by his repetition of concealnt. He feared if one day his grandfather discovered he had been hiding sothing all along, and especially if it were sothing concealed deliberately, how heartbroken he would be. He couldn’t allow that to happen. He couldn’t let the grandparent who loved him most be hurt again by his own emotional whims. He knew what happened before he lost his mory, yet he chose not to speak of it. Perhaps only by doing so could he escape the past. Though he vaguely rembered so events before his amnesia, he completely forgot the woman he once loved, unaware of the silhouette that often appeared in his dreams, a silhouette he longed to catch, one that was missing from the depths of his heart.
