Old Master Zhang hurried to the hospital and imdiately called Zhang Yichen.
When Zhang Yichen saw that it was his grandfather calling him, he could hardly believe it. His grandfather never called him while he was at work; what was happening today?
"Grandpa, you never call when I’m at work. What happened today? Did you make sothing delicious at ho and want my wife and to co ho for dinner quickly?"
Zhang Yichen thought Old Master Zhang was calling him to co ho for dinner because, in his grandfather’s view, work was a very serious profession and nothing should interrupt it while one was at work. But why was today an exception?
"Child, stop joking with your grandpa. Your parents are now in the hospital undergoing ergency treatnt. They’ve had a car accident, a very serious one. I can’t explain everything clearly right away, so can you co to the hospital quickly?"
"Your grandpa is already at the hospital. I’ve been waiting here but haven’t heard any news for a long ti, and I’m a bit worried. You should co over quickly. After all, they are your parents. No matter what, they gave you life."
Zhang Yichen was stunned. What was happening?
How could it be that just after he had started working, without even a few hours passing, he received the news about his parents’ serious car accident?
It seed his grandfather was extrely anxious; he had better go and see his grandfather quickly to keep him from being overly worried.
"Grandpa, don’t worry. I’m coming right now. You just wait calmly at the hospital. I believe my parents will be fine," Zhang Yichen said, trying to reassure his grandfather, but deep down, he was very worried about his parents. After hanging up the phone, Zhang Yichen rushed to the hospital where his grandfather was. He felt that no matter what, he should see his parents still in the ergency room. How could he continue working calmly as a son during this crisis? Should he ignore his parents’ life and death just to keep his company operating normally and to handle a few more docunts?
He wasn’t that kind of person; he could never do such a thing under any circumstances. If he had to choose between work and his parents, he would undoubtedly choose his parents without hesitation. He existed because of his parents; work could be rebuilt step by step, but life was irreplaceable. If he could achieve what he had today through his efforts, why could he not achieve his brilliant career once more?
On his way to the hospital, Zhang Yichen thought about it and decided that he should call his wife.
When Ran Zhihan received the call from Zhang Yichen, she could hardly believe it. How could this be true?
It had been more than ten days, even a month, and their communication had been practically nonexistent. Was the sun really rising from the west today? Her husband had actually decided to call her.
"Yichen, why did you suddenly think to call today? We haven’t had a quiet conversation in months. Each ti I tried to talk to you, you were always so stern.

"Enough, stop talking about all that stuff. I’ve called to tell you sothing serious; mom and dad have been in a car accident, and they’re being resuscitated in the hospital right now. Grandpa is so anxious; he’s already at the hospital. You need to pack your belongings quickly and co to the hospital with ."
Ran Zhihan was dumbfounded. How should she respond when her parents-in-law had happily walked out the door that morning? Weren’t they both heading out to go abroad in their Ferrari? Why had it suddenly turned into a severe accident causing injuries and hospitalization?
"Yichen, what exactly happened? Weren’t they both fine when they left this morning? How could they have a car accident and be in the ergency room after such a short ti? How are they now? Is it serious? Are they out of danger?"
Ran Zhihan was very anxious and her concerns tumbled out one after the other, causing Zhang Yichen so embarrassnt. His wife was rely a daughter-in-law, and yet she showed so much concern for his parents. Why couldn’t he show the sa level of concern for his own flesh and blood parents? Had he been too preoccupied with minor issues that seed insignificant to them, but monuntal to him?
"Alright, stop wasting ti talking. You better go. Everyone is terribly anxious. What’s the use of your rambling on here when you could be going to the hospital to comfort Grandpa?"
"Okay, okay, just wait for a mont. I’ll get ready and leave straight away. I need to see what the situation is like at the hospital. I can’t believe such good people as my parents could experience this.
I trust that Providence will bless them. May Grandpa watch over them for a safe resolution. They have been through so much, unable to return ho for years, which is punishnt enough. I still hope that Heaven will give them a chance to start anew..."
