As his words fell, he leaned down, just about to kiss her when her voice, full of disdain, suddenly rang out.
"Don’t touch with hands that have touched soone else!"
Noah Drexler’s body stiffened, his lips stopping just a few centiters from hers.
He frowned slightly, lowering his gaze to stare at her.

Was she still hung up on the fake woman’s voice that Flynn Hughes had pretended to have over the phone?
So, even in such pain, she still refused to let him touch her.

Seeing her disbelief, Noah Drexler frowned, his voice resolute and unyielding.
"If I’m lying to you, may I, Noah Drexler, die a miserable death with no remains left!"
His ruthless vow made Sumr Shawcross’s heart tighten sharply.
In her mind, the mory of her tragic death in his arms in their past life resurfaced, the mont he raised the gun.
Her heart felt as if it was being gripped tightly by sothing, hurting to the point that her breathing beca erratic.

The bedroom was incredibly quiet.
Noah Drexler leaned against the bed, gazing intently at the peacefully sleeping woman resting on his right side, getting lost in thought. After a long while, he finally couldn’t resist lowering his head to softly kiss her lips.
A hint of complexity appeared on his handso face.
