In a certain spot in the hall, a man with a cold deanor had a change of expression, his gaze fixed intently on the figure behind the curtain.
"Not even showing a face—are they too ugly to be seen? And they expect us to pay?" a portly middle-aged man complained loudly.
But as soon as the middle-aged man finished his sentence, a thin voice ca from behind the curtain.
"Music is about the soul, not the face, sir. Please do not insult it."
Even though the girl’s voice carried a hint of anger, it was still very pleasant to the ear.
However, her words enraged the middle-aged man, prompting him to stand up angrily and curse at the figure behind the curtain.
"Who do you think you’re talking to? Just a pathetic violinist, acting all high and mighty!"
The man’s vulgar words echoed in the hall, but Noah Drexler, seated calmly, had a look of severity flash across his ink-black eyes.
"Take care of it," he suddenly ordered Sean Morgan, his dark gaze sweeping past the shadow behind the curtain as he pressed his thin lips together and added,
"No need to go easy!" The coldly delivered words were full of nace.
Sean Morgan was montarily taken aback, his expression still in shock from the voice he had just heard from behind the curtain.
"Yes." After a second, he quickly nodded in response, turning to signal the two bodyguards beside him to rise together with him.
"Acting all high and mighty, I’ll make sure everyone sees just how ugly you really are and why you’re hiding!" anwhile, the middle-aged man was still imrsed in anger, rising from his seat and heading to the stage.
As the host was caught off guard, several tall figures in black suddenly appeared in front of the middle-aged man, blocking his short and hefty stature!
The middle-aged man looked at the figures in front of him with disdain and said,
"If you don’t want trouble, get out of my way. I’ll teach this... person a lesson today..." He didn’t finish his sentence as soone suddenly grabbed his arm and twisted it hard!
"Ah!" A scream of agony pierced the hall.
"Do you know who I am, daring to treat this way?" The middle-aged man’s face twisted in pain, incredulous that these bodyguards dared to lay hands on him!
However, after he finished speaking, Sean Morgan’s expression remained unchanged as he politely reminded him,
"Our boss doesn’t like noise. You’ve disturbed him!"
"Who’s your boss?" The middle-aged man’s expression froze in confusion, wincing as he asked.
"Noah Drexler!" As Sean Morgan spoke, another scream of agony was heard!
...
A mont later, after everything was resolved, Sean Morgan politely addressed the host.
"Please continue."
The host was montarily stunned by the recent events and only regained his composure after a pause.
"Well then, after the two of you perform, everyone can decide on their bids in the auction." After finishing his words, the host turned around with a smile to Wendy Linden, "Miss Linden, please go ahead first!"
Wendy Linden nodded, her gaze flickering over the man radiating coldness in the hall, then slowly walked over to the newly arranged piano and sat down.
