"Mr. Drexler, please get in the car." The middle-aged man respectfully raised his hand, gesturing for Noah Drexler to get in.
Noah Drexler didn’t seem eager to get in the car imdiately. Instead, he lifted his gaze, glancing at the smallest figure among the pedestrians behind him.
Sumr Shawcross didn’t notice Noah Drexler’s gaze. Instead, she softly spoke to Sean Morgan.
"Sean, can I ride in your car with you guys?"
Ever since she woke up today, Noah Drexler’s face had been as cold as if he’d eaten ice.
And after she apologized to him, he hadn’t said a word to her, treating her as if she were just air.
It was obvious that this man was upset over yesterday’s incident and didn’t care for her, but she couldn’t think of a way to appease him. So, to prevent angering Noah Drexler further and considering the oppressive atmosphere whenever she was around him, she decided to temporarily dodge and ride with Sean Morgan instead.
After Sumr Shawcross finished speaking, Sean Morgan was sowhat puzzled but didn’t hesitate and instinctively wanted to agree.
However, just as he was about to nod, he felt a gaze full of chill sweeping over from the other side...
Sean turned his head and was startled when he saw Noah Drexler’s expression at that mont.
In the next second, he suddenly donned a serious face, looked down, and solemnly spoke to Sumr Shawcross.
"Secretary Shawcross, you’re the boss’s secretary; it would be proper for you to ride in the sa car as the boss."
After speaking, Sean opened the car door beside him, ready to get in.
Seeing this, Sumr Shawcross quickly turned around, attempting to get into the car, but Sean promptly noticed her intention and swiftly blocked the car door with his hand.
"Secretary Shawcross, you..." Sean’s face showed a trace of helplessness. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to help her, but he knew the boss’s temper.
"Please..." Sumr Shawcross looked up at Sean, pleading softly.
"Sorry!" Sean turned heartlessly and got into the car, closing the door before she could react, not giving her any opportunity!
Sumr Shawcross stood beside the car, her expression awkward.
She hadn’t expected that the usually accommodating Sean would refuse her request.
Stupefied for a few seconds, she sighed helplessly before slowly walking back to Noah Drexler’s car.
Seeing her obediently return, Noah Drexler retracted his gaze and got into the car.
Sumr Shawcross got into the car from the other side.
Besides the driver, there were only her and Noah Drexler in the car.
She turned her head and, as expected, saw the man’s cold face.
The car slowly started, leaving the dock and heading towards the city center.
The atmosphere inside the car remained oppressive.
Noah Drexler turned his head to look at the impassively seated man beside him, silently sighing in his heart.
"The weather seems nice today..." She smiled, trying to break the ice and lighten the mood.
"..." However, the man didn’t even glance at her, as if she was air.
Sumr Shawcross felt a bit frustrated but didn’t give up on bothering him.
"By the way, I heard there’s a famous Bloomsway Street in Zephyria. The trees on both sides are in full bloom with red flowers this ti of year. They’re quite pretty. Shall we go take a look later?" she suggested with a smile.
However, after she spoke, the man finally reacted but only to frown.
