"Could it be that the bandage is too tight?" Sumr Shawcross nervously looked at the wound on his wrist.
His complexion suddenly beca very unpleasant.
Noah Drexler pressed his lips together, saying nothing, and a fine layer of sweat appeared on his handso forehead.
Sumr could even hear his breathing becoming more erratic.
Seeing him remain silent, the expression on Sumr’s face beca even more tense.
Standing by, Sean Morgan was also startled by Noah’s current state. After a mont of thought, he suddenly looked at Noah in surprise.
"Boss, could it be...?"
Noah glanced sideways at him, and Sean quickly shut his mouth, then lowered his head with a worried expression, looking at his wrist.
The problem lies with the knife blade!
After a mont, Noah finally managed to slightly steady his breathing and forced himself to endure the feeling of thousands of needles piercing his body.
"I’m fine..." He lowered his eyes, looking at Sumr beside him, his voice sounding no different than usual.
Hearing him say this, Sumr still wasn’t reassured and continued to look at him with concern.
"Just now, was it...?"
"It’s just an old problem acting up, nothing major." Noah moved his lips and calmly replied.
The pained expression that had been on his face monts ago had now faded, except for the fine layer of sweat on his forehead, nothing else seed out of place.
Seeing this, Sumr sighed with relief but still looked at him with so concern, saying.
"Noah, we should still go to the hospital for a checkup."
Although he said it was nothing major, his sudden reaction just now really frightened her. She thought sothing might be seriously wrong...
Seeing her persistent worry, Noah’s eyes shifted slightly, and then he spoke softly to her.
"No need, a night’s rest will be fine."
After saying this, he glanced at Sean.
Seeing this, Sean understood and quickly said to Sumr,
"Ma’am, the boss has an old headache problem. It might be because he has been too busy lately, which is why it acted up. But the doctor has said it’s not a big deal, and resting well will help him recover."
Hearing Sean’s explanation, the tension on Sumr’s face gradually eased.
Sean always followed Noah closely and had never lied to her, so she believed what he said must be true.
"Then go lie down and rest quickly." Sumr glanced toward the large bed, then continued.
But Noah showed no intention of moving. Instead, he lowered his eyes and looked at her for two seconds before suddenly speaking.
"I want to rest alone tonight."
Upon hearing this, Sumr was taken aback...
Did he an he wanted her to leave?
"Ma’am, when the boss’s condition acts up, he has trouble sleeping, and any slight disturbance makes it worse." At this mont, Sean’s voice rang again.
Hearing Sean’s words, Sumr still looked at him with concern, then suddenly pleaded softly.
"I’ll sleep on the sofa tonight, I promise I won’t disturb you. Can I stay?"
Even though Sean said it was an old problem acting up, she was still worried, afraid that he might have another headache at night. With her there, she could at least take care of him.
She looked at him with wide, sincere, and pleading eyes.
Her earnest and humble deanor at that mont stirred sothing inside Noah’s heart.
