"If there’s nothing else, I’ll leave first. You should rest early."
Without giving Sumr Shawcross the chance to ask more questions, Sean Morgan turned and walked towards the bedroom door.
"Wait, I want to see Noah Drexler!" Seeing this, Sumr Shawcross hurriedly followed, persistently pressing him.
"Madam, I cannot take you to see the boss." Sean Morgan stopped in his tracks, his expression extrely serious.
The boss is on the verge of losing control, even he might not make it back in one piece, let alone a frail woman like her.
The boss is not in his right mind right now and could easily hurt her, and besides, even if he took her to see the boss, it would be of no help.
"I want to see him, just let see him once, okay?" Sumr Shawcross bit her lip, looking at Sean Morgan with resentnt. Thinking of what the butler had told her earlier, her heart was filled with anxiety and worry!
"I’m sorry..." Sean Morgan’s face showed a look of helplessness. As he lifted his head to apologize to Sumr Shawcross, he saw tears on her face, and his sowhat wooden expression suddenly froze.
It’s not like he hadn’t seen won cry before, he had seen won cry even more fiercely than the madam, but... none of those won could evoke such compassion with just a single tear as Sumr Shawcross did...
"I just want to see him once, okay, Sean... please help ..." Sumr Shawcross sniffed, wiping away the tears that had accidentally fallen, and continued to plead with Sean Morgan.
Sean Morgan looked at Sumr Shawcross’s reddened eyes and sighed deeply.
"Alright. But... Madam, you must promise one thing."
He finally understood why the boss had fallen for soone like Sumr Shawcross.
Seeing him agree, a faint smile appeared on Sumr Shawcross’s face.
"Okay, I’ll promise you anything!"
However, Sean Morgan’s expression remained grave.
...
A few minutes later, at the door of the upstairs bedroom.
Sean Morgan brought Sumr Shawcross here.
The two bodyguards at the door were surprised to see Sean Morgan bring Sumr Shawcross over.
"What’s going on?" Sean Morgan turned to ask the bodyguards.
"It’s been quiet for a while, the boss may have... exhausted himself." The bodyguard sighed before replying.
Hearing the bodyguard’s words, Sumr Shawcross’s heart tightened, and her breathing beca tense.
She turned to look at the bedroom in front of her, trying hard to calm herself down.
"Open the door." Sean Morgan glanced at the bedroom door and then said.
The bodyguard glanced at Sumr Shawcross, his expression hesitant, "Boss, Madam she..."
What if she gets hurt inside? The boss will be furious when he sobers up...
"It’s alright, I’ll keep an eye on Madam, and I’ll take responsibility if anything happens." Sean Morgan turned to look at Sumr Shawcross reassuringly.
Madam had promised him she wouldn’t act recklessly, just take a glance from a distance and leave.
Hearing Sean Morgan’s reassurances, the bodyguards nodded and opened the door.
Sean Morgan walked in first and then gestured for Sumr Shawcross to follow; she quickly followed.
The room was lit by a very dim floor lamp, the light was very dim, very dim... so dim it made one’s heart uneasy, Sumr Shawcross quickly turned her head and searched in the extrely dark bedroom for the figure she desperately wanted to see!
At this mont... an object suddenly ca hurtling towards the door!
