Upon hearing his words, Sumr Shawcross’s expression was even more delighted, happily throwing herself into his arms.
"Noah Drexler, you’re really the best!"
As she spoke, she lifted her head and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
A gentle peck on the cheek added a touch of joy to Noah Drexler’s handso face.
The next second, however, he lowered his head with a bit of dissatisfaction.
"You think this is enough to appease ?"
A light kiss on the cheek to make up for the anger he felt today?
His words made Sumr pause for a mont, and a mischievous smile appeared on her pretty little face.
"I understand." She said knowingly.
Upon hearing this, Noah’s expression softened a bit.
A mont later, she cupped the man’s face with her hands.
Then... she lifted her head.
Noah slightly leaned his head forward, waiting for her to kiss him on the lips.
However... her lips landed on the other side of his face.
Smooch... another kiss on the cheek.
His expression instantly darkened.
Great, she’s teasing him?
Just when he was displeased, the playful woman finally got on track, reaching out to wrap her arms around his neck, and then... seriously lifted her head to approach.
After a long ti, Noah finally released Sumr with satisfaction.
She sat back on the sofa, breathing with parted lips.
She turned to look at Noah, seeing that the anger on his face had disappeared, she finally spoke again, cautiously asking him.
"Noah Drexler, next Friday... will you be busy?"
When her brother Sean Shawcross left, she only found out that he rushed back this ti to celebrate her birthday in advance.
And next Friday is her birthday, which she only rembered today.
After her voice fell, Noah glanced at her, then raised an eyebrow, speaking in the calst tone.
"Next week is going to be very busy with work."
After he finished speaking, Sumr nodded lightly, but felt a little disappointed inside.
It seems like he probably doesn’t know about her birthday, and even if he did, with his unromantic nature, he probably wouldn’t have planned anything.
"Anything going on next Friday?" At this mont, Noah suddenly asked her quietly.
"No, just asking." Sumr smiled, then replied casually and turned her head to look out the window.
"It’s getting dark, I’m a bit hungry, I’ll go downstairs to have dinner first." She pouted, trying to hide her disappointnt, and said as she got up from the sofa and walked toward the door.
Watching her departing figure, Noah leaned against the sofa but slightly curved the corner of his lips.
Imdiately, he took out his phone and dialed a number.
"Mr. Drexler." As soon as the call connected, a formal and respectful voice ca from the other end.
"How’s the preparation going?" He leaned on the sofa, inquiring about the progress.
"The cultivation work is going very smoothly. According to your instructions, we should be able to present a small part of the results by next Friday," the other person replied enthusiastically.
Hearing the response through the phone, he frowned and pressed his lips, speaking seriously.
"What I need is certainty, not possibility."
The person on the other end hesitated for a mont, then quickly responded.
"Yes... we understand, we will definitely make it happen."
After hearing the reply, Noah squinted his eyes in satisfaction and then hung up the call.
