Noah Drexler’s voice inexplicably sent a chill of danger through Sumr Shawcross.
Sothing felt amiss in her heart...
Had he discovered sothing? For instance, that she’s different from before...
"I’m not familiar with him, really..." The man’s aura was so cold that Sumr couldn’t help but cough, and she had to confess truthfully.
But after a mont’s thought, it wouldn’t make sense to claim she rescued Zeke Sawyer just as a coincidence if she wasn’t familiar with him... such a silly excuse, Noah wouldn’t believe it, so she added another sentence.

"You like him?"
As his words fell, Sumr inexplicably felt a chill down her back.

"Is he very important to you?"
"No..." Sumr denied instinctively.
Actually, before today, she had never even seen Zeke Sawyer.
"Then why did you rescue him?" The man’s voice lowered, and despite his restraint, anger inevitably burst out.
If he wasn’t important, why risk her life to save him?

"In the future, for such matters, just instruct the bodyguards, don’t go risking your life!" After a long while, he took a deep breath, admonishing her in a tone that brooked no denial.

At this mont, Noah suddenly turned his face, glanced in the direction of the room door, then pressed his lips and instructed.
"Co in!"
"Yes, boss!" Sean Morgan’s voice sounded from outside the door.
The door was pushed open, and Sean, along with several other bodyguards, brought in the doctor and nurse from earlier, stopping by the bedside.
The nurse’s tray still held the syringe from earlier.
