Since he wanted to take her away, why did he leave her behind?
The thought process of this man was indeed beyond her comprehension as an ordinary person.
As Sumr Shawcross finished speaking, Noah Drexler fell silent. His dark eyes, looking at her, beca complicated.
His sudden silence made Sumr feel a bit strange. Just as she was about to ask him sothing else, two small glowing yellow lights flew out from the grass by the river and landed on her silver dress.
Sumr looked down in confusion, and those two little lights flew away again.
"Fireflies?" Sumr’s face showed a surprised expression.
Just as she was turning her head in shock to look around, she realized that there were many small glowing points in the grass on both sides of the river, and the further in she looked, the more nurous they beca, even flying around in front of the two of them.
Sumr’s face was full of joy, not expecting to find so many fireflies here.
"Noah Drexler, there are so many fireflies here!" Sumr said to Noah excitedly, while curiously looking around the sides of the little boat like a child.
The last ti she saw only one firefly at the forest villa where Noah was recuperating, she hadn’t expected so many fireflies hiding in this place.
While she was delighted, the small boat gradually approached the shore and ca to a stop.
On the shore was a large lawn, on which stood a wooden house lit with a warm yellow glow.
Sumr was stunned, feeling that the scene before her was much like the fairy tale world she had seen in cartoons as a child...
Just as the boat reached the shore, two servants ran out from the wooden house, respectfully speaking to the two of them.
"Sir, Ma’am, welco back."
After speaking, the servants tied the boat’s rope to a wooden stake on the shore.
"Noah Drexler, this is..." Sumr was dazed for a long ti before turning to look at Noah.
So shocked, she montarily forgot what expression she should have...
Seeing her stunned expression, Noah rely raised his eyebrows and then stood up from the boat, lifted his long legs, and easily stepped onto the shore, reaching out his hand to her.
"Give your hand."
His deep voice was full of steadiness...
Sumr nodded and then stretched out her hand, placing it in his.
Noah grasped her hand tightly and with a forceful pull, hoisted her up entirely.
Sumr was startled, thinking she might fall into the water, but the man swiftly stretched out his other hand and held her waist...
Quickly following, he lifted her into the air, carrying her from the boat onto the shore.
The sudden movent made her instinctively wrap her arms around his neck.
When she ca to her senses, they were already standing safely on the grassy walkway leading to the wooden house.
She paused for a mont, looked up at the handso face of the man, and was montarily lost in thought.
"Sir, Ma’am, dinner is ready." At this mont, the servant’s cautious voice suddenly ca over.
Hearing the servant’s voice, Sumr was taken aback, finally coming to her senses, quickly letting go of his neck and instinctively raising her hands to tidy her slightly ssy hair and dress.
"Not hungry?" Seeing her standing there, Noah couldn’t help but frown and ask her.
