Noah Drexler sat down on the sofa, reached out to hold her slender leg, placed her leg on his, and then, like the butler just now, poured so dicinal oil onto his hand. His large palm covered her ankle and gently massaged it.
His handso and cold face was now full of a serious expression.
Sumr Shawcross quietly sat on the sofa, looking at the man’s mature and stern face.
She paused for a mont, then suddenly spoke in a calm voice.
"Noah Drexler, I want to see my brother."
Her voice sounded, and Noah Drexler’s hand paused for a mont.
The next second, he pursed his thin lips and said.
"Sean’s body has already been cremated."
"So quickly..." His words made Sumr’s body sway slightly, and in those sowhat vacant eyes, an undetectable sadness appeared.
At this mont, Noah Drexler had finished applying the dicinal oil for her.
The butler handed over a tissue, and he gently wiped his hands.
"Noah Drexler, I want to return to my room." At this mont, Sumr suddenly parted her lips and spoke.
Upon hearing this, Noah Drexler looked down at her and then agreed with pursed lips.
"Alright!"
After his voice fell, he bent down, picked her up from the sofa where she was seated.
"Send up the dicine when it’s ready." He ordered suddenly, giving a glance at the butler while holding her.
"I understand." The butler nodded.
Noah Drexler turned around, carrying Sumr Shawcross as he strode towards the second floor.
Just as they returned to the bedroom and Noah Drexler was about to place Sumr on the sofa, she, who had been silent and motionless in his arms, finally reacted, struggling to get out of his embrace.
"Put down."
Noah Drexler frowned slightly, but in the end, he bent down and put her down, allowing her to stand on the carpet.
"What on earth... is going on?" Sumr slowly raised her head, looking at Noah Drexler, and asked.
"What do you want to know?" Noah Drexler looked at her, his handso face full of calmness and composure.
"Why did my brother die?" Her eyes were slightly red as she looked at him.
They didn’t have enough evidence to prove he was the kidnapper; logically, they shouldn’t have acted against him.
Yet everything that happened was so... unexpected.
"Sean’s identity is far more complex than you think. He did many things secretly that couldn’t see the light of day. He didn’t take that shot in vain!" Noah Drexler looked at her with a serious face but did not elaborate.
So things, he didn’t intend to tell her now, otherwise... it would only give her greater shock!
In order to cooperate with The Drexler Family, he secretly helped those people with many shady dealings.
His words made Sumr’s body tremble slightly, her face filled with panic. Instinctively, she took a step back, but the pain in her ankle made her reach out to steady herself on the sofa.
Suddenly recalling the days her brother was missing, his whereabouts were indeed very secretive... But in her mory, her brother was always gentle and gentlemanly, also very kind, nothing like what he described.
"You’re lying to ..." She shook her head, and at the thought of those complex things, her head suddenly began to ache.
"Sumr, you need to face reality!" He raised his hand, grasping her wrist, and then said to her solemnly with a stern expression.
Even though her vulnerable appearance at this mont made his heart faintly ache...
