Listening to the man’s voice, Sumr Shawcross paused.
She felt sad, but... didn’t really know why, she simply couldn’t cry.
Thinking about it, she let out a gentle sigh and then slowly closed her eyes, resting all her weight onto the man.
Yet the man’s arms held her tightly, as if... if he let go, she would disappear.
Only at monts like this, holding her tightly in his arms, feeling her heartbeat, her breath... everything about her being alive!
"I’m fine, Noah Drexler..."
After a long while, her soft voice finally sounded.
She was just emotionally overwheld, unable to accept that the brother she saved had such an incident right before her eyes.
She thought that after so ti, she would recover.
Even after she finished speaking, Noah Drexler still did not release her, his handso face remained tense, not improving just because she said she was fine.
Just then, a knock on the door interrupted the silence in the bedroom.
Upon hearing the knocking, Noah Drexler paused for a mont, then released the woman in his arms.
"Co in." He glanced toward the door.
The door was pushed open, and the butler walked in carrying two bottles of shower gel—sa style, different colors, for n and won.
"These are the shower gels Madam asked to buy last ti."
Looking at the shower gel in the butler’s hands, Sumr Shawcross paused, then rembered seeing these two bottles of couple shower gels in the mall the last ti, before her brother ca to find her.
She had hurried off that ti, didn’t have a chance to buy them, and later ntioned it casually to the butler. She hadn’t expected him to bring them today.
After placing the two bottles of shower gel in the bathroom, the butler then turned and left the bedroom.
Just as Sumr was lost in thought, Noah Drexler suddenly bent down and picked her up off the floor.
She was taken aback.
"I’m fine, I can walk by myself."
He seed a bit too tense.
But she also understood that she wasn’t that fragile.
Noah Drexler carried her all the way to the bathroom, then pursed his lips and scoffed.
"I don’t want to sleep with a woman who doesn’t bathe!"
Listening to his voice, Sumr Shawcross paused, then looked up at his side profile from his embrace, staring blankly for two seconds before she suddenly spoke.
"Noah Drexler, I want to move back to my old room for a while."
As her words fell, Noah Drexler was just carrying Sumr into the bathroom.
Hearing her words, his footsteps suddenly halted.
The expression on his handso face changed.
He frowned, staring seriously at the woman in his arms for a few seconds as if contemplating carefully, then pursed his thin lips and said earnestly.
"It’s fine not to bathe."
If she didn’t want to bathe, he could handle it.
His words made Sumr Shawcross confused for a mont, taking awhile to understand his aning.
"I didn’t an that..."
She said she wanted to move back to her old room, not because of the bathing issue...
As she finished her sentence, Noah Drexler’s expression changed again.
"Then what do you an?" He looked down, his gaze fixed tightly on her, his stern face instantly becoming gloomy.
Was she blaming him because of Sean Shawcross’s incident?
So, she didn’t even want to share a room with him anymore?
