"Back already?" He glanced at her, his face still composed.
"Look what I brought you!" Sumr Shawcross smiled, then reached out and took out the thermos containing vegetable and at porridge. Upon opening it, the aroma of the porridge filled the air.
"The housekeeper made this especially for you. Doesn’t it sll great?"
But the man furrowed his brow at the mont.
"What’s wrong?" Seeing this, she couldn’t help but ask.
"I need to use the bathroom." Noah Drexler glanced at her, a trace of unease on his handso face.
Hearing his words, Sumr imdiately understood and quickly put down what she was holding.
"I’ll help you!"
He had been lying in the hospital bed for hours, and she almost forgot about his basic needs.
Upon hearing her, Noah’s eyes shifted slightly, his Adam’s apple bobbed, and he agreed.
"Alright..."
Noah got up, dragging his cast-covered right leg off the bed. Not being able to use one leg made him a bit annoyed.
At this mont, Sumr, who was a head shorter, ca over, took hold of his wrist, and placed his heavy arm over her shoulder to support him.
"I’ll be your crutch." Her soft voice followed soon after.
Noah’s body stiffened slightly.
His heart moved inexplicably.
He could feel her petite fra didn’t possess much strength, let alone to support his heavy body.
Yet, even so, she was the first to co forward to help.
And she said she would be his crutch.
The man glanced down, staring at the woman beside him, an intense emotion swirling in his dark eyes...
This feeling was exactly the sa as when they were at the forest villa, and she held him tightly, saying she wanted to stay with him.
He was lost in thought for a mont, then moved his lips slightly, speaking in a low voice.
"Sumr Shawcross, I don’t rely on won."
Hearing the pride in his voice, Sumr felt a wave of helplessness inside.
"I’m the person who’s supposed to spend my life with you. If you can’t even bear sothing like this, how are we going to spend a lifeti together?" She looked up at him, speaking earnestly.
If he couldn’t even rely on her a little now, how would they support each other when they were old?
After she finished speaking, his expression paused. He lowered his gaze and looked at her resolute face.
In the next second, he fully rested his arm on her shoulder, letting a small part of his body weight lean on her.
Sumr supported him as they slowly made their way to the bathroom.
Until she guided him to the toilet.
"Call when you’re done." Sumr glanced down at the toilet ahead, then looked up and instructed him.
Having said that, she turned to leave the bathroom.
But at that mont, his voice suddenly sounded.
"Aren’t you going to help ?" He frowned, asking her.
Sumr’s steps faltered, nearly causing her to stumble.
She almost thought she misheard him!
"I ant I’d help you get here, not assist you in using the toilet..." She turned her head to look at him, explaining with a slight blush on her cheeks.
"Besides, it’s your foot that’s injured, not your hands, so it shouldn’t affect using the toilet." She gently bit her lower lip and added another sentence.
She barely finished explaining when the man let out a cold laugh.
"Heh..."
