"I’ve calculated your pay at the regular employee rate; if you work for for about two years, you’ll have paid off your debt..." Sister Snow had a cunning smile on her face.
"Two years?" Hearing her words, Sumr Shawcross was utterly shocked!
She had to stay here for two years? How could that be possible!
Just as she was in a state of shock, Sister Snow suddenly chuckled and said to her.
"However, considering you’re quite talented, if you perform well... maybe you can pay it off in six months!"
"No, I can’t stay here that long!" she gritted her teeth, looking at her with dissatisfaction.
She couldn’t stay here now; she had to find Noah Drexler imdiately!
"Then what do you suggest? I won’t let myself suffer any loss!" Sister Snow glanced at her.
"How about this, you can co back with , and as soon as I see my husband, I’ll pay you double. Is that okay?" Sumr Shawcross raised her head and looked at her, negotiating in a friendly tone.
Listening to her proposal, Sister Snow showed no sign of being moved and simply shook her head.
"That won’t work. I don’t trust anyone except myself!"
Seeing how stubborn the other person was, Sumr Shawcross showed a hint of helplessness on her face, but then, with clenched teeth, she resolutely said,
"Ten tis! Will ten tis be enough? I can write you an IOU or sign a contract, as long as you take back first!"
"Cut the chatter, just stay here quietly!" Sister Snow directly rejected her proposal.
"You!" Sumr Shawcross bit her lip, feeling a surge of anger inside, not expecting the other party to be so obstinate!
"Since you’re already awake, and I see your injuries aren’t too severe, here’s the thing, take these two days to rest and get familiar with the environnt. Once you’re familiar, you can start working. Silvanus Manor is short-staffed right now!" Sister Snow said as she eyed her current state.
Her words made Sumr Shawcross pause, then she looked up intently at Sister Snow before her.
For so reason, she had a feeling... that Sister Snow keeping her here wasn’t just about the money... but for another reason!
Yet she didn’t understand the other person’s identity and couldn’t guess her purpose.
Sumr Shawcross was silent for a mont, then suddenly bit her lip and asked her.
"What if I refuse to work, what will you do to ?"
Upon hearing her words, Sister Snow paused with the cigarette between her fingers, then turned and spoke to the girl who had been following them.
"Let them all in!"
As soon as Sister Snow’s voice fell, the door was pushed open, and several tall, robust n entered the room from outside.
Seeing this, Sumr Shawcross was startled...
"Rest assured, I’m not one to mistreat my employees. As long as you do a good job, your treatnt won’t be bad."
Seeing that the other party was still refusing to let her leave, Sumr Shawcross felt even more despondent.
But she currently had no better way to convince the other party, so she had no choice but to stay for a couple of days, looking for an opportunity to contact Noah Drexler or escape from this place.
With that in mind, Sumr Shawcross’s expression changed, and then she suddenly asked worriedly,
"This place... it isn’t one of those places, is it?"
She needed to understand the situation here. The Sister Snow in front of her didn’t seem like soone easy to deal with.
