Sumr Shawcross, with red-rimd eyes, reached out to take the remote control from Katherine Irving’s hand, pressed the power off button, then tossed the remote aside.
"I’m fine. You should go back, I want to be alone for a while!" Sumr bit her lip before speaking.
"You..." Katherine looked at her with concern, hesitated for a mont, then gently nodded in agreent.
"Alright... if you need anything, call , I’ll be next door."
Sumr said nothing.
Katherine turned and left.
As soon as Katherine left, Sumr closed her eyes, sowhat wearily lying on the bed.
Sumr took a deep breath, trying hard to remain calm, but her mind was filled with the images and sounds from the earlier television broadcast!
A deceased wife, a fiancée...
She had to keep telling herself that everything might not be true, she needed to see Noah Drexler with her own eyes!
She needed to hear him admit it to her face before her heart could die. Until then... she couldn’t believe or doubt anything!
Her brother was no longer alive, her sole motivation to continue living was now Noah Drexler.
Even thinking this, her feelings remained uncontrollably troubled and chaotic...
Thinking of this, she simply took the pillow beside her and pressed it over her head, trying hard to calm her heart.

In the early hours of the morning, Sumr finally couldn’t help but sit up in bed, threw the pillow aside, got out of bed, and decided to go outside for so fresh air, hoping the cold wind might help her calm down.

Sumr walked aimlessly along the path lit by street lamps.
The resort was very quiet at dawn.
Especially in the employee rest area, it was particularly silent, with not a soul in sight on the road.

Surprised, she looked carefully and noticed that under the tree ahead, a woman was crouching and burning sothing.
Curiosity compelled her to walk over, and when she got closer, she found the back figure sowhat familiar.
"Sherry?" She recognized the person and spoke out in surprise.
Upon hearing the voice behind her, Sherry paused for a mont and then turned her head to look at Sumr Shawcross.
When she turned her head, Sumr showed a look of shock.
Usually appearing strong and unreasonable, Sherry now had a bare face, eyes moist, and a face covered in tear stains...
At this mont, she had lost her usual aura, and without her usual red lips and heavy makeup, she looked much more gentle, so much so that Sumr almost didn’t recognize her.
"What are you..." Sumr asked in confusion.
Sumr instinctively looked at what she was burning in her hand, it was joss paper...
Sumr paused. Did she have a loved one who had passed away?
Seeing Sumr appear, Sherry’s expression froze for a bit, then she casually wiped away the tear stains that represented vulnerability before slowly speaking.
"Today is my son’s sixth birthday." Saying this, she looked at the pitch-black night sky, her gaze filled with resentnt.
