Sumr Shawcross finished speaking, and Yancy Shaw nodded seriously, standing still on the spot.
His mature and handso face, however, carried a hint of nervousness.
Seeing his serious look, Sumr found it sowhat amusing. He seed as if he was facing a significant mont in his life.
It was clear that the woman in his heart was indeed very important to him.
But unfortunately...
Thinking of this, Sumr couldn’t help but sigh.
Hearing her sigh, the man standing beside her, full of alertness, turned his head to look at her, his face showing an expression of worry.
"What’s wrong? Is she unwilling to co out and see ?"
He suddenly recalled the way she had run away from him the other day, causing his heart to tighten with a pang of pain.
Seeing his worried expression, Sumr shook her head, then handed a pair of Bluetooth headphones playing music to Yancy Shaw.
"Put these on, then close your eyes, and count to sixty in your mind before opening your eyes again."
Hearing this, Yancy took the headphones from her hand, though his expression showed a hint of confusion.
It was the first ti he’d seen soone perform a ’ritual’ using such... electronic devices.
Though he was puzzled, he put on the headphones without hesitation. The loud music inside made him a bit uncomfortable, but he still followed Sumr’s instructions, closed his eyes, and began counting in his head.
Seeing this, Sumr breathed a sigh of relief, quickly walked over to the bathroom door, and gently knocked on the glass door.
The sound from the headphones was loud enough that Sumr wasn’t worried about being overheard.
The bathroom door opened from the inside, and Sherry, dressed in a white long dress, slowly walked out.
The pure white dress, combined with her bare face without any makeup, made her look several years younger, like a recent college graduate entering society.
"Are you really okay with this?" Sumr looked at her, asking worriedly.
She just noticed that Sherry’s face didn’t look so good.
Sherry turned her head, glanced at the figure standing quietly in the room with eyes closed, and her chest heaved up and down.
A few seconds later, she gently nodded.
Seeing her nod, Sumr nodded too, then patted her on the shoulder and continued.
"Katherine and I will wait by the door!"
Sherry said nothing, just nodded again.
Sumr turned to glance at Yancy Shaw, then gently turned and walked out of the room, closing the door behind her.
...
The door shut tightly.
Sherry stood still for a couple of seconds, then slowly turned her head to look at the man standing there motionless.
After six years, it was her first ti looking at him so closely.
Compared to his arrogant and high-spirited self six years ago, he seed much more mature now, and his deanor had beco more composed.
Sherry hesitated for a mont, then took a step forward and slowly walked to stand behind Yancy Shaw, stopping her footsteps.
As the sixty seconds ended, Yancy removed the headphones from his head. Instead of imdiately opening his eyes to look around, he took a couple of calm breaths to ntally prepare himself.
He took off the headphones and opened his eyes.
