Sherry had just hung up the phone and looked up to see the expression on Sumr Shawcross’s face, and was taken aback.
"Are you okay...?"
Sumr shook her head, her body weakly leaning against the door fra.
Seeing this, Sherry sighed softly and couldn’t help but reach out to give Sumr a hug, allowing her to rest so of her weight on her.
"Don’t worry, the boss will definitely be fine!" Sherry gently patted Sumr’s back and then comforted her.
Sumr bit her lip, her pale face losing all color.
"Sherry, I suddenly really hate myself..."
Listening to her words, Sherry was stunned.
"Why?"
"Every ti sothing happens, it’s him protecting . I know there’s danger around him, yet I can only hide here, living under his protection, unable to share in his hardships!"
Her entire life was ant to make it up to him, but at this mont, what had she really done for him?
This feeling of knowing he’s hurt right now, maybe even seriously, and yet she can only stay here doing nothing, is too painful, too tornting!
When Sumr finished speaking, Sherry fell into silence, watching her in utter agony, and suddenly felt a softening in her heart.
She admitted she actually envied this girl.
Envious of having a man who loves her wholeheartedly, willing to pay any price for her safety.
But at this mont, watching her in such pain, her heart couldn’t help but be moved, suddenly reminding her of her own self years ago, who was reckless for love.
Back then, she too, for a man, abandoned family, abandoned identity, and followed that man who had nothing, slowly becoming strong with him... although the result was painful in the end.
Those days were bitter, but looking back now, they might have been the happiest days of her life.
Wearing cheap clothes, yet able to laugh like a child, simply because she really loved him at that ti.
Thinking of this, Sherry’s eyes suddenly welled up.
She could understand Sumr’s feelings at this mont, as she had once felt the sa way.
She took a deep breath and then suddenly said.
"I have a way."
Listening to her, Sumr was taken aback, then slowly looked up at her.
"What..." She was surprised to find Sherry’s eyes reddened.
Sherry wiped the moisture from the corner of her eyes with her finger, then looked at her seriously.
"I have a way to keep you by the boss’s side, but you must promise not to reveal your identity, otherwise... it will be very dangerous!"
Hearing her words, Sumr first showed a puzzled expression, then suddenly rembered sothing...
"Disguise makeup?"
Sherry nodded, a look of difficulty appearing on her face.
"But... it requires sending you to The Drexler Family, and you’ll need soone’s help."
"Who?"
"Yancy Shaw!" Sherry paused, then said.
...
Another night of getting drunk...
In the morning, as the sky was getting brighter, Yancy Shaw just walked out of the hotel building at Silvanus Manor when two subordinates followed him.
"Mr. Shaw, there’s a call for you..."
"Take it away, I don’t want to take any calls right now." Yancy Shaw waved his hand without even glancing at the subordinate.
