But Noah Drexler had no intention of moving his face away. Instead, he urged impatiently.
"Wasn’t there sothing you wanted to tell ?"
Upon hearing this, Sumr Shawcross pursed her lips, then gently opened them...
...
A few seconds later, she finished speaking, lifted her head, and placed a kiss on the man’s cheek, then hurriedly turned around and ran towards the door...
With a ’bang,’ the sound of the door closing resonated, and the man’s previously frozen body finally began to react...
He straightened his back, and instinctively reached out his hand to touch the cheek she had just kissed...
Yet, on his handso face, there still remained a trace of astonishnt.
The soft words she had whispered into his ear continued to echo in his mind.
"Noah Drexler, I love you!"
The man froze again, trapped in that voice, unable to extricate himself for a long ti...
...
Outside the door, as soon as Sumr Shawcross left the room, she saw Sean Morgan standing straight, waiting.
"Sean, let’s go!" she raised her head, showing Sean a smile.
However, in response to her smile, Sean turned and walked away with a sullen face.
Sumr was taken aback, suddenly feeling... had Sean just looked down upon her?
He didn’t seem to like her very much...
Sumr paused, suddenly recalling the things Sean had previously said to Noah, and it dawned on her.
The reason Sean disliked her now was that he thought she had taken Noah Drexler away from Sumr Shawcross...
So, was that why he was so openly disdainful of her?
Thinking this, Sumr didn’t feel the slightest bit angry but rather... a bit happy.
Because Sean didn’t know that she was Sumr Shawcross. His current attitude was entirely to stick up for her.
Sumr hastily caught up with Sean’s pace.
The two of them exited the villa together, and the sky outside was beginning to brighten, the sun slowly rising from the east.
Due to his height advantage, Sean was walking very fast, and Sumr was practically jogging to keep up behind him.
But the Drexler Family estate was vast, and just getting from there to the back door was a long journey.
"Sean, slow down... I can hardly keep up!" Sumr placed her hands on her hips and finally couldn’t help but stop, then shouted after Sean.
Hearing the noise from the back door, Sean finally stopped, turned his head to glance at Sumr, and then spoke.
"Sorry, Miss Moon, I’m used to walking fast. If you can’t keep up, you can slow down at the back."
"But your cousin is still waiting for you at the back door to leave together. I’d still hope you could keep pace with ." Sean looked at her, his face stern and unyielding.
Sean’s entirely unfriendly tone left Sumr looking helpless, so she had no choice but to plead.
"How about we rest for a minute?"
Clearly, Sean was intentionally walking fast just now, knowing full well she couldn’t keep up, knowing she would be out of breath...
Yet in the face of Sean’s behavior at that mont, she found herself oddly moved.
Hmm, he was standing up for her; although he was tornting her, she accepted it...
"Suit yourself!" Sean replied woodenly, then turned, intending to stride away.
But just as he took a step, from behind... suddenly ca a voice that was extrely familiar.
