The lamp was suddenly turned off, and Sumr Shawcross was startled for a mont. She raised her hand to rub her slightly uncomfortable eyes and then turned her head to glance at the man beside her.
"I have confidence in my own eyes." She bit her lip and said, then reached out to turn the small lamp back on, continuing with her task.
Her actions caused Noah Drexler to frown, and his handso face showed a bit more anger.
"Sumr Shawcross, are you deliberately trying to upset ?" He pressed his thin lips together, asking her unhappily in a restrained voice.
Was she deliberately trying to upset him?
Listening to his displeased voice, Sumr, however, did not have much of a reaction. She just sat on the carpet and carefully continued piecing together the crystal cup fragnts.
Seeing that she ignored him, the man’s body stiffened, and for a mont, he was at a loss for words.
Just as he furrowed his brows, with his expression worsening, Sumr finally spoke up, with an indifferent expression.
"You can keep turning the light off, and I can keep turning it on."
As her words fell, Noah Drexler’s expression beca even worse.
The next second, he suddenly tossed the paper bag filled with snacks onto the coffee table, then leaned over to sit down beside her.
Just when Sumr thought he would turn off the lamp again, the man suddenly reached out his hand, but not towards the lamp. Instead, it was towards the things in her hands...
The crystal cup fragnts in her hands were taken by him, and Sumr was montarily stunned. The small tweezers gripping the fragnts were also promptly snatched away by him.
"What are you doing?" Sumr turned her head, looking at him with confusion.
The man glanced down at her, then frowned and said.
"I’ll do it, you go eat the snacks!"
After speaking, he bowed his head, focusing intently on the crystal cup fragnts in his hands, without even asking her about the cup, and carefully continued from where she left off, slowly piecing together the tiny fragnts.
Sumr was taken aback for a mont, only then noticing the two paper bags on the coffee table filled with snacks, emitting a fragrant aroma...
But unfortunately, she had no appetite at all at that mont.
Thinking about it, she bit her lip and couldn’t help but reach out, attempting to snatch back the things from Noah Drexler’s hand.
"No need, I can do it myself!"
But the man, as if he had anticipated it, deftly turned his wrist, skillfully avoiding her hand.
"Noah Drexler!" Sumr couldn’t help but look at him, speechless.
"My eyesight is better than yours!" The man turned his eyes to look at her, suddenly speaking seriously.
Listening to Noah Drexler’s words, Sumr felt a slight tremor in her heart, and then pursed her lips and said.
"My eyes aren’t bad, and I promised Mr. Long that I could piece it together myself without your help."
As soon as she finished speaking, Noah Drexler’s expression beca even more serious.
Seeing this, Sumr thought he was about to lose his temper...
But unexpectedly, after staring at her seriously for several seconds, the man moved his thin lips and suddenly spoke.
"Sumr Shawcross, you’re going to be with for many years, and I don’t want to end up with a blind old lady next to !"
His deep voice was full of seriousness and determination.
