Seeing her bewildered expression, Noah Drexler pursed his thin lips and patiently asked her.
"Did I say I wouldn’t go?"
He had only said he didn’t have ti; he hadn’t refused to accompany her to the movie.
"But didn’t you say you were very busy?" Sumr Shawcross blinked, asking blankly. She asked if he had ti, and he said no. Didn’t that sound like a refusal?
"Is that the sa thing?" Noah Drexler frowned and questioned her in return.
His schedule was indeed packed for the afternoon, with no free ti.
But a few minutes ago, he had already texted his assistant to cancel all his afternoon plans and work.
"Isn’t that basically the sa thing?" Sumr Shawcross was speechless and couldn’t help doubting her life.
This man’s logic was truly... peculiar!
"Don’t want to go?" Noah Drexler didn’t explain further but directly asked her.
"Go, of course, I’ll go!" Sumr pursed her lips, quickly turned around, and got into the car, imdiately instructing the driver.
"Please head to the nearest cinema!"
"Sure, madam!"
...
Inside the cinema, Sumr Shawcross carefully picked a movie and finally chose a romantic sci-fi film.
It seed she had heard about this movie before, rumored to be quite touching, but at that ti, she was too busy arguing with Noah Drexler to have any ti to watch it properly in the cinema.
And now she had the chance to make up for that regret.
Ten minutes later, holding freshly bought popcorn, Sumr Shawcross sat contentedly in the theater, watching the movie earnestly.
The plot of the movie was very moving, and by the end, most people in the theater were moved to tears.
Sumr Shawcross’s eyes were also wet, completely touched by the storyline.
The movie told the story of a male robot protagonist with human emotions falling in love with a female human protagonist but being unable to be together.
After experiencing various dangers, the handso robot hero ultimately shut down permanently in the arms of the female lead to save her.
By the ti the movie finished, the theater was filled with the sounds of people blowing their noses.
Sumr Shawcross quietly grabbed the tissues that ca with the popcorn to wipe the corners of her eyes.
However, when she turned to look at Noah Drexler, she was stunned.
He sat beside her, looking at the movie screen with an expressionless face, showing no waves of emotion on his extraordinarily handso face.
He didn’t even show the slightest bit of emotion.
She couldn’t believe it; any normal person would feel so kind of emotional stir from such a touching and sorrowful plot, if not deeply saddened.
As soon as they exited the cinema, Sumr Shawcross couldn’t wait to ask Noah Drexler.
"Noah Drexler, what did you think of the movie we just watched?"
"The special effects were terrible; the post-production team should all be fired!" Noah Drexler considered for two seconds, then spoke to her from a businessman’s professional perspective.
In his view, this sci-fi movie was totally substandard.
His film company, which he personally supervised, had successfully released a sci-fi film with special effects that this movie couldn’t even begin to compare to, and it broke several box office records—a record that still remained unbeaten by any other sci-fi film.
Hearing his answer, Sumr Shawcross was sowhat exasperated.
As expected, he was a born businessman and an utterly unromantic one at that.
"I’m not asking about that; I an the plot. Weren’t you moved at all?" she persisted, refusing to give up.
