Though Feng Xiyan didn’t understand so of Bai Hanyun’s words, he could grasp the general aning and replied, "Then I will have the craftsn prepare the wood while we await Fairy Bai’s portrait."
"Alright. I will see you later." With that, Bai Hanyun ended the connection.
Holding the antique mirror, she looked at it and asked, "Hey, do you think it’s alright for to give him my photo? Won’t it change history?"
The antique mirror glowed twice in response. After interacting with it for half a month, Bai Hanyun had learned how to interpret its signals.
Seeing the two glows, she asked, "So, you are saying it won’t change the history on Feng Xiyan’s side? Does that an his world and mine really aren’t the sa?"
The mirror glowed once at her question.
Seeing this, Bai Hanyun beca certain that her guess was right. Feng Xiyan had co from another world.
Rubbing her chin slowly, she thoughtfully muttered, "So it’s true... he really ca from another world."
She thought for a mont, then said, "Since he’s from another world, it should be okay to sell the rest of the items he gave , right? I’m the only one who has things from his world, so no one will know where they ca from, right?"
Just as she made her decision, the antique mirror glowed twice.
Raising her brows slightly, Bai Hanyun asked, "You disagree? Why?"
This ti, the antique mirror didn’t glow. Instead, an image appeared on its surface.
Seeing the man’s face in the antique mirror, Bai Hanyun tilted her head and asked in confusion, "Who is this man? He looks familiar... but I don’t rember seeing him before."
Since the antique mirror could only glow or display images, it couldn’t answer her question.
Getting no response and too lazy to think, Bai Hanyun placed the antique mirror back on its stand and said, "I’m going to wash up first."
As water sounds ca from the bathroom, the image on the antique mirror shifted. This ti, it showed another man dressed in ancient clothing who resembles the first man.
Two seconds later, the antique mirror dimd, and the image vanished.
Half an hour later, Bai Hanyun ca out of the bathroom and prepared to go out. Carrying her backpack, phone, and the antique mirror, she headed to the backyard.
Standing by the tree, she tapped the mirror’s fra twice and called, "Feng Xiyan, are you there?"
Feng Xiyan was in the middle of breakfast when he heard her voice. He put down his bowl of rice and chopsticks on the long table, stood up, and walked to the altar.
Clasping his fists, he said, "Fairy Bai, Xiyan is here. What are your instructions?"
Looking at him through the mirror’s surface, Bai Hanyun replied, "Feng Xiyan, I’m going to send water over. If my calculations are correct, your supply should be running low by now, right?"
Feng Xiyan nodded. "Yes."
Knowing he would need to make preparations, Bai Hanyun said, "I will wait while you prepare the containers."
"Alright." With that, Feng Xiyan wrapped the bronze mirror in a red silk cloth and placed it into a wooden box along with the mirror stand.
Carrying the box, he channeled his internal energy and activated his lightness skills. Leaving the tent, he kicked off the ground, soared into the air, and ran toward the lake near the barracks.
A few minutes later, he landed by the lakeside.
After scanning the area, he selected a flat boulder and set the mirror stand on it. Once he ensured the stand was steady, he unwrapped the bronze mirror and placed it on the stand, facing the lake.
Taking a few steps back, he clasped his fists and said, "Fairy Bai, Xiyan is ready to receive the water."
Hearing this, Bai Hanyun tied the antique mirror to the tree with the rope and said, "I’m sending the water now."
After saying that, she tapped the antique mirror’s fra twice, ending the connection, then looked at it and said, "While I go print the photo, you should take a bath first."
As soon as she finished speaking, the antique mirror glowed dimly once.
Seeing this, Bai Hanyun chuckled and tossed the antique mirror into the river. The mont it hit the water, it began to absorb it.
On the other side, Feng Xiyan watched as water gushed out from the bronze mirror and poured into the lake. He stood there for a mont, observing the rising water level, before letting out a sigh of relief.
Aside from drinking, the lake water was mainly used for cooking. However, due to the scorching sun and high temperatures, the water level had been dropping each day, even without frequent use.
Now that Bai Hanyun had replenished it, the pressure weighing on Feng Xiyan’s heart eased significantly.
Watching the lake fill, he called out, "Feng Wu."
At his command, Feng Wu appeared and knelt before him. "Master, what is your order?"
Looking at him, Feng Xiyan instructed, "Stay here and guard the bronze mirror."
"Yes, Master."
After giving out his order, Feng Xiyan activated his lightness skills again and returned to the barracks.
Left alone, Feng Wu sat beside the stone boulder, dazedly staring at the water pouring from the bronze mirror.
At the sa ti, Bai Hanyun and Hua Yuyu were on their way to the town center.
Half an hour later, Hua Yuyu parked the car in front of a photo studio. After getting out, Bai Hanyun entered the studio, with Hua Yuyu following behind.
As she pushed open the door, one of the staff greeted her warmly. "Welco, dear custor. What can I help you with?"
Since Feng Xiyan needed a picture of her for the golden statue, it would be weird to give him a photo of herself in modern clothing.
After a mont of thought, Bai Hanyun asked, "Can I take pictures in ancient clothing?"
Nowadays, many young people enjoy dressing in traditional attire to promote cultural heritage. As a result, most photo studios offered packages where custors could select outfits and receive free makeup and hairstyling.
