Hearing what his companion just said, the second soldier was startled and hurriedly urged him, "Go quickly! Leave this place to . You must report to the Great General right away."

After nodding resolutely to his companion, the first soldier rushed off.

Unaware that the two soldiers had already spun an entire drama about Feng Xiyan’s wall being dug out by He Xuanren, Bai Hanyun calmly opened the warehouse door.

"Master He, please co in," she said as she stepped inside.

The mont He Xuanren saw the supplies inside the warehouse, his eyes widened in shock.

Inside the spacious warehouse, bags of grain and boxes of vegetables were stacked all the way to the ceiling.

To the side, rows of cured at hung from ropes tied along the walls. In addition to the bags and boxes, He Xuanren also noticed stacks of fabric piled neatly on the other side of the warehouse.

Feeling curious, he walked over to the fabrics, only to discover that they were made from materials he had never seen before.

While He Xuanren was absorbed in inspecting the fabrics, Bai Hanyun quietly observed him.

A few minutes later, He Xuanren finished his inspection. Turning to Bai Hanyun, he said, "Miss Bai, I accept your business proposal."

Hearing this, Bai Hanyun smiled. "Excellent. Then, shall we go draft the contract now?"

Nodding in agreent, He Xuanren gestured politely. "After you, Miss Bai."

With that, Bai Hanyun led He Xuanren back to the main hall to discuss the details and sign the cooperation contract.

anwhile, He Jingtai was seated at a table in a small teahouse near the Feng Army’s barracks.

Bustling with activities and the low murmur of conversations, every table in the teahouse was occupied.

He Jingtai calmly sipped his tea while observing the custors. Noticing that only a few of them were citizens of the Yu Empire, he lowered his gaze and listened carefully to their conversations.

At a corner table, a bearded man dressed in animal-skin garnts took a large gulp of tea.

Wiping his mouth roughly with the back of his hand, the bearded man said in frustration, "After spending so much ti and resources to bring those goods here, nobody is willing to buy them! This is really terrible luck!"

His three companions could only shake their heads in response to his frustration.

Receiving no consolation, the bearded man frowned and asked, "Why are you three still so calm? If we can’t find any buyers, our tribe will have no choice but to rely on the Feng Army’s alms!"

Listening to his question, one of his three companions replied, "Isn’t that a good thing? We don’t need to spend our ti working hard and still get food and clothes every month. Why are you so eager to do business when we can just lie down and enjoy life?"

Another nodded in agreent. "That’s right. Haven’t you heard? General Zhan of the Feng Army just led fifty-five thousand troops to defend the Yurong Border Pass against the Jin Empire. In tis like this, who would waste precious food to buy our goods?"

Patting the bearded man’s shoulder, the third companion sighed. "A Bu, just give up and enjoy the good life."

Slapping his hand away, A Bu said irritably, "I’m not like you, who was satisfied with being fed by the Feng Army. Don’t any of you have pride and backbone? How could you receive the Feng Army’s help so shalessly?"

Angered by his words, one of his three companions slamd the table and pointed at him.

"What did you say?! A Bu, say that again if you dare!"

A Bu sneered. "What? You dare to live off others, but don’t dare to let people talk about it?"

Gritting his teeth, another companion said angrily, "Good. Very good! Since you look down on us, then from today onward, we are no longer brothers! I want to see if you die from starvation first, or we die from sha first!"

With that, he kicked away his stool and stord out of the teahouse. The other two spat on the ground before following him out.

Left alone, A Bu slamd his palm on the table and cursed, "Cowards! Useless trash!"

Watching A Bu gulp down his tea in anger, He Jingtai thought, ’Since I can’t reach the Rong Tribe’s leader, starting with their mbers might be the best approach—and this man is the perfect opportunity.’

Making up his mind, He Jingtai set down his empty teacup and stood.

Noticing the approach of a handso man, A Bu frowned slightly.

Stopping a few steps away, He Jingtai clasped his hands and bowed slightly. "Brother, please forgive for overhearing your conversation just now."

Seeing his polite deanor, A Bu’s anger eased considerably. Waving his hand, he sighed. "Never mind. It was our loud voices that disturbed everyone."

He Jingtai’s smile deepened at his words. ’They say the twelve tribes are barbarians, but compared to the northern seven tribes, these people are quite civilized.’

After briefly assessing A Bu’s temperant, He Jingtai asked, "Brother, may I share this table with you?"

A Bu studied him for a mont before gesturing for him to sit. "Go ahead."

After He Jingtai sat down, A Bu said, "Brother, although you look like a refugee, your manners, speech, and aura tell you are no ordinary man. Why would soone like you choose to talk to ?"

He Jingtai smiled and praised him sincerely, "Brother, your insight is sharp. Allow to introduce myself. My surna is He, and my given na is Jingtai. I am the heir of the He Clan of the Yu Empire."

The mont A Bu heard this, his eyes lit up in shock. He slamd the table and leaned forward, staring at He Jingtai.

"You are the heir of the famous He Clan?!"

He Jingtai nodded calmly. "That is correct."

A Bu leaned back, still in disbelief. "I thought today was cursed... Who would have thought the Beast God would take pity on and let et the heir of the He Clan? This... this is unbelievable!"

Smiling faintly, He Jingtai said, "Brother, I heard you wish to do business. Why don’t we discuss it over a cup of tea?"

Coming back to his senses, A Bu hurriedly poured him a cup. "Yes, yes—please!"

While He Jingtai and A Bu discussed their business, Hua Yuyu and his companions finally caught sight of the towering walls of Xiqiang City in the distance.
