Bai Hanyun raised an eyebrow slightly when she heard Feng Xiyan’s question. ’Huh? Why does he look so wronged? Who had bullied him?’

If those Feng Army soldiers and the Feng Clan’s shadow guards heard her thoughts right now, they would ask her if she was for real.

As Bai Hanyun walked up to Feng Xiyan, she replied, "He is my bodyguard and close friend, Hua Yuyu."

Standing beside Feng Xiyan, Bai Hanyun turned to introduce him. "Brother Hua, this is my fri—"

Noticing the maidservants behind her, she instantly corrected herself. "My fiancé, Feng Xiyan."

While Feng Xiyan lifted his chin slightly and shot Hua Yuyu a provocative look, Hua Yuyu exchanged a aningful glance with Bai Hanyun.

Seeing the two of them exchanging glances, Feng Xiyan’s expression darkened. He slipped his fingers between Bai Hanyun’s slender ones and interlaced them firmly.

Lowering his head, he glanced up slightly, peeking at her, and asked gently, "Yun’er, should we eat before the dishes turn cold?"

Reminded by him, Bai Hanyun replied, "Ah, yes. Let’s go inside and eat together."

Hearing this, Feng Xiyan smiled politely at Hua Yuyu, then led Bai Hanyun inside hand in hand.

Watching the two of them enter with the servants following behind, Hua Yuyu raised his brows slightly and thought with faint amusent, ’Miss Bai’s fiancé is really an interesting person. So jealous, yet still pretending to be polite.’

’Such a high-quality green tea man. No wonder he could beco Miss Bai’s fiancé. The two of them are really good at pretending and acting.’

Hua Yuyu chuckled softly at his thought before going to wake Bao Shengjie and the others.

anwhile, Bai Hanyun directed the maidservants as they served the dishes onto the round table. "Place them here."

"Yes, Miss Bai."

After counting the stools, Bai Hanyun realized there weren’t enough and added, "Bring one more stool and add another bowl."

Taking the main seat, Feng Xiyan watched Bai Hanyun give instructions with satisfaction. ’She looks just like my wife now. Ah... I really want to marry her as soon as possible.’

Unaware that Feng Xiyan had already begun planning for their marriage and thinking about their future children’s nas, Bai Hanyun sat down beside him.

Stretching her neck, she glanced toward the doorway. "Mhm? Why haven’t Brother Hua and the others co yet? Could it be that they haven’t woken up?"

Turning to a maidservant nearby, she instructed, "Go invite my friends to eat."

Just as her words fell, Hua Yuyu and the others arrived.

Smiling at them, Bai Hanyun gestured for them to take their seats. "You guys are here. Co and have a seat. The chefs prepared their specialty dishes. You all must try them. It’s really delicious."

After sitting down, Bao Shengjie and the others—except Hua Yuyu—looked curiously at Feng Xiyan.

Noticing their gazes, Bai Hanyun coughed lightly and introduced Feng Xiyan, "This is my fiancé, Feng Xiyan."

Bao Shengjie’s eyes lit up at her words. Narrowing them teasingly, he said, "Miss Bai, I never knew you had a fiancé. You really kept this secret well."

Bai Hanyun shot him a warning glare and replied in a low voice, "I will explain later. Eat first."

Sitting there, Feng Xiyan observed Bai Hanyun’s interactions with Hua Yuyu and the others. Seeing how natural and close they were, he thought, ’They seem more like siblings. Maybe I really was overthinking things.’

While he was pondering, Bai Hanyun picked up a piece of at and placed it into Feng Xiyan’s bowl.

"Eat more. You have gotten thinner since the last ti I ca here," she said while adding more food to his bowl.

Seeing this, Bao Shengjie’s expression twisted. Rolling his eyes, he complained, "Miss Bai, can you stop feeding us dog food for free? I still want to enjoy this al properly."

Rolling her eyes back at him, Bai Hanyun picked up a piece of tofu and stuffed it straight into his mouth. "Even food can’t shut you up."

With his mouth full, Bao Shengjie could only fall silent. The others burst into laughter at this sight.

As Bai Hanyun and her friends chatted while eating, Feng Xiyan quietly watched them.

A faint smile appeared at the corner of his lips as his thoughts drifted into the past. ’It’s been years since I have eaten such a lively al.’

Though his generals and soldiers often ate with him, they were always cautious in his presence. This warmth—this ease—was sothing he hadn’t experienced since his family’s execution.

Noticing that Feng Xiyan had gone quiet, Bai Hanyun paused and waved her hand in front of him. "Feng Xiyan? Are you alright? Why aren’t you eating?"

Worried, she quickly set down her bowl and chopsticks and placed her palm against his forehead. After a mont, she tilted her head and muttered in confusion, "No fever."

Feng Xiyan held her hand, smiled gently, and said softly, "I’m fine."

After saying that, he picked up the food she added to his bowl and silently ate.

Only after watching him take a few bites did Bai Hanyun resu her al.

Sitting around the table, Hua Yuyu, Wu Jun, Xie Wei, and Ouyang Zhuangyu exchanged knowing looks.

When the al ended, Feng Xiyan stood and clasped his fists. "I still have matters to handle at the barracks. I will take my leave first. Please enjoy your stay here."

Hearing this, Hua Yuyu and the others stood as well and returned his salutation. "Thank you for the al, Young Master Feng."

Smiling faintly, Feng Xiyan said, "Since you are Yun’er’s friends, you are also my friends. There is no need for formality. Just call by na."

Hua Yuyu nodded and called out without hesitation. "Brother Feng."

Feng Xiyan smiled and called him, "Brother Hua."

Seeing that the afternoon had already passed, Feng Xiyan turned to Bai Hanyun, held her hands, and said gently, "Yun’er, I will co back for dinner later. If you need anything, just tell the servants."

"Mhm, let send you out."

"Alright." Feng Xiyan’s eyes brightened at her words. He then nodded to Hua Yuyu and the others before leaving with Bai Hanyun.
