Feng Xiyan fell silent for a mont before holding Bai Hanyun’s hand and saying, "Yun’er, thank you. You truly are my lucky star."
Bai Hanyun smiled. "We are already grasshoppers on the sa rope. Helping you is the sa as helping myself."
"Besides, I don’t like those corrupt officials, your foolish emperor, or the Wen Clan. I’m just doing what I want to do. You don’t need to thank ."
Feng Xiyan gazed at Bai Hanyun’s smiling face for a long mont before leaning closer and kissing her gently. When he saw her eyes widen in surprise, he smiled softly and kissed her once more.
A few minutes later, Bai Hanyun felt that she was going to die from Feng Xiyan’s kiss.
"Emph! Emph!" Bai Hanyun hit Feng Xiyan’s chest as she pushed him away.
Separating their lips, Feng Xiyan blinked and asked, "What’s wrong?"
Bai Hanyun glared at him and protested, "Feng Xiyan, you almost suffocated to death!"
Touching her swollen lips, she grimaced in pain and took a sharp breath. "Hiss! Feng Xiyan, are you a dog? Why did you always bite my lips when you kiss ?"
Leaning closer, Feng Xiyan took a look at her red, swollen lips. Seeing the slight tear he had caused, he lowered his head and licked the blood from her lips.
Stunned by his sudden action, Bai Hanyun could only stare at him in disbelief.
Gently tracing the wound, Feng Xiyan said guiltily, "I’m sorry. I failed to control myself."
Looking at his puppy-like eyes, Bai Hanyun took a deep breath and scread internally, ’Ahh!! Who can tell who this male vixen is?! Where did my polite and innocent Feng Xiyan go?!’
Seeing that Bai Hanyun closed her eyes and ignored him, Feng Xiyan felt anxious.
He cupped her face in his hands, rubbed his nose against hers, and whispered, "Yun’er, please don’t be angry. I was wrong... Can you forgive ?"
Unable to handle his seduction, Bai Hanyun coughed lightly to clear her throat. Glaring at Feng Xiyan, she said, "I will forgive you if you promise you won’t bite anymore."
Hearing her words, Feng Xiyan hesitated. "This..."
Bai Hanyun’s eyes widened in shock. She pushed him away, quickly covered her lips, and accused, "I knew it! You still want to bite !"
Afraid that she would truly get angry, Feng Xiyan hurriedly promised, "Alright, alright. I promise I won’t bite you anymore when I kiss you."
Although still skeptical, Bai Hanyun decided to trust him. "Since you already promised, you can’t go back on your word."
"Mhm. Once a word is spoken, four horses can’t catch it back."
Hearing this, Bai Hanyun nodded in satisfaction. "Fine. You are forgiven."
Seeing that she was no longer angry, Feng Xiyan smiled. Looking at the drawings on the table, he asked, "Yun’er, when do you want to begin the plan?"
Bai Hanyun pondered for a mont before replying, "Let’s start as soon as possible. How about tomorrow?"
Feng Xiyan nodded. "Alright. I will have General Tan and General Fan assist you with security and provide the workers."
"Thank you, Feng Xiyan!" Bai Hanyun said excitedly as she kissed his cheek.
Smiling at her, he pulled her closer and softly asked, "Should we continue?"
eting his deep gaze, Bai Hanyun hurriedly stood up. "It’s already late now. You should rest early."
Without waiting for his response, she grabbed the lantern and ran away.
Watching his fiancée flee so fast that her soles were floating, Feng Xiyan let out a helpless sigh. "Looks like I need to take it slowly. Never mind, we still have plenty of ti ahead of us."
While Feng Xiyan was contemplating how to further seduce Bai Hanyun, the moon slowly climbed into the night sky.
As the night deepened, a group of masked n moved stealthily through the darkness. With thick clouds covering the faint moonlight, visibility was greatly reduced.
Standing on the watchtower, a soldier noticed movent in the distance. Squinting his eyes, he tried to get a closer look but couldn’t see anything clearly.
Following the principle of killing a thousand rather than letting one escape, the soldier said to his comrade, "There is suspicious movent over there. I’m going to take a look. You stay here."
"Got it," the other soldier replied.
Grabbing the flashlight from the small table in the corner of the watchtower, the soldier walked down the stairs. Standing atop the city wall, he turned on the flashlight and carefully scanned the area.
Hidden in the darkness, the bearded masked man cursed under his breath. "Damn it! What kind of thing is that? Why is it as bright as the sun?"
Squatting behind him, one of the masked n said, "General, that thing must be a divine weapon bestowed by Fairy Bai upon the Feng Army."
Hearing this, the bearded man gritted his teeth and said indignantly, "What virtue does the Feng Army have to deserve such a miracle weapon from Heaven?"
Seeing their leader’s fury, none of the masked n dared to answer his question.
After venting for a mont, the bearded man’s anger subsided slightly. Seeing that the soldier was still scanning the area, he made a quick decision.
"We can’t keep hiding here. We must find a way into the city before dawn."
"General, do you have a plan?" one of the masked n asked.
The bearded man looked at them and pointed at two of his subordinates. "You two stay here and distract the soldiers. The rest of you, follow . We will find another route to the underground river."
"Yes, General."
After making their plan, the bearded man led the remaining three masked n away.
anwhile, the other two stayed behind, hiding near the city wall. From ti to ti, they made small noises or tossed stones to draw the soldiers’ attention.
On top of the city wall, the soldier felt that sothing was wrong.
Handing the flashlight to one of the soldiers stationed there, he said, "Sothing isn’t right. I’m going to report this to General Fan. Brothers, stay vigilant."
The soldiers nodded and responded, "Understood."
After giving the darkness below one last look, the soldier left in a hurry.
