After a mont of silence, Zhan Qi asked, "Great General, who is this new enemy?"
Instead of answering Zhan Qi directly, Feng Xiyan looked at Tuluo Cheng and asked, "Military Advisor Tuluo, what do you know about the Dizhu Tribe?"
The mont the question fell, Tuluo Cheng’s expression turned grim. After thinking about it, his eyes flickered with realization.
"Great General, could it be that the new enemy is...?" He didn’t finish his sentence, but everyone knew what he wanted to say.
Feng Xiyan nodded and said, "That’s right. Our new enemy is the Dizhu Tribe."
Seeing the disbelief in Tuluo Cheng’s face, Feng Xiyan continued, "When this general arrived here a few sichen ago, there was no one around. After searching the area, we only found bloodstains and torn clothes soaked in blood."
"Then... Great General, how do you know the Dizhu Tribe is our enemy?" Zhan Qi asked, confused.
Feng Xiyan remained silent for a few seconds before saying, "Feng Wu found several deep and wide pits one hundred li away from the garrison. Inside those pits were bones and human remains stained with blood. After careful inspection, he is certain that those remains belonged to victims of cannibalism."
Tuluo Cheng suddenly stood up and exclaid in disbelief, "Impossible! The Dizhu Tribe is the most sacred tribe among the Twelve Tribes and the only one capable of communicating with the God of Beasts. They would never do sothing so inhumane as eating human flesh!"
Looking at Tuluo Cheng’s ashen face filled with disbelief, Feng Xiyan said calmly, "Military Advisor Tuluo, please calm yourself."
Realizing he had lost his composure in front of Feng Xiyan, Tuluo Cheng took a deep breath to calm down, then clasped his hands and bowed deeply. "Please forgive this subordinate’s offense."
"It’s alright. Please take a seat first."
After Tuluo Cheng sat down, Feng Xiyan continued, "Military Advisor Tuluo, this general also couldn’t believe it at first. However, the evidence lies before my eyes. After witnessing it personally, I had no choice but to accept the truth."
Listening carefully, Tuluo Cheng sensed sothing amiss. "Great General, you said that when you arrived here, there was no one around. Then... how were you able to witness what happened?"
After observing Tuluo Cheng for a period of ti, Feng Xiyan had co to understand his personality well. Once Tuluo Cheng made a decision, he would remain loyal unless sothing shattered his beliefs entirely.
Since Tuluo Cheng had submitted because of the Yin Mirror, Feng Xiyan decided to seize this opportunity to reinforce that faith and completely secure his loyalty.
Making up his mind, Feng Xiyan said in his mind, ’Yin Mirror, co to my side now.’
Receiving the order, the Yin Mirror, who was sitting in the garden located in the forbidden area of the Gui Clan’s secret realm, turned to her husband and said, "Master is summoning . Stay here and don’t cause trouble."
Before the Yang Mirror could respond, the Yin Mirror vanished from his sight.
Staring at the empty seat before him, the Yang Mirror grew unhappy. He slamd his teacup onto the spiritual jade table and snorted, "Hmph! You always leave behind the mont that brat calls you! Can’t you at least let accompany you out?"
The more he thought about it, the angrier he beca. Slamming the table, the Yang Mirror stood up angrily. "Hmph! Since you are going to see your master, then I will go see my master as well!"
With a snap of his fingers, the Yang Mirror scattered into golden particles and disappeared, leaving only the half pot of spiritual tea behind.
Appearing beside Feng Xiyan, the Yin Mirror clasped her hands and bowed. "Master."
When Zhan Qi and Tuluo Cheng saw an incredibly beautiful young woman appear out of thin air, they were so shocked that they montarily forgot how to react.
Nodding at the Yin Mirror, Feng Xiyan said, "Yin Mirror, you should have already t both of them."
The Yin Mirror turned to Zhan Qi and nodded. "Yes. I rember this young man. He is General Zhan Qi under your command."
She then glanced at Tuluo Cheng and added without expression, "As for this one, he is the one who dared to be disrespectful toward you."
Recalling the heavenly punishnt he had suffered before in Feng Xiyan’s tent, Tuluo Cheng’s eyes widened in excitent. He stood up so abruptly that the wooden chair behind him toppled over.
Staring at the Yin Mirror, he stamred for a long ti, but failed to form a full sentence. "You... you are...!"
The Yin Mirror rely glanced at him before ignoring him entirely.
Sensing her faint dislike, Feng Xiyan spoke in her place. "Yes. She is the bronze mirror."
Upon receiving confirmation from Feng Xiyan, Tuluo Cheng dropped to his knees. He kowtowed repeatedly and repented sincerely.
"This believer greets the Goddess. Please forgive this believer’s past rudeness."
The Yin Mirror glanced at him, then turned to Feng Xiyan. "Master, why did you summon ? Do you require my assistance?"
Seeing Tuluo Cheng still kneeling with his forehead pressed to the ground, Feng Xiyan said, "Let him stand up first."
Though she disliked Tuluo Cheng because of his past offense toward Feng Xiyan, the Yin Mirror concealed her emotions perfectly. With a wave of her hand, a gentle gust of wind lifted Tuluo Cheng from the cold floor.
Feeling the wind steady his body, Tuluo Cheng was overwheld with excitent and gratitude. He bowed deeply toward the Yin Mirror. "Thank you, Goddess, for your forgiveness."
"You should thank my Master instead. If not for my Master, I won’t even spare you a look," the Yin Mirror replied calmly.
As a devoted believer, Tuluo Cheng obeyed without hesitation. Bowing toward Feng Xiyan, he said sincerely, "Thank you, Great General, for allowing this subordinate to et the Goddess."
"Military Advisor Tuluo is too polite." Though his expression remained calm, Feng Xiyan felt deeply satisfied.
’The effect is even better than I expected. With his loyalty secured, I can entrust him with greater responsibilities. With Tuluo Cheng’s brilliant mind assisting us, my Feng Army will have a higher chance of winning this war.’
Turning to the Yin Mirror, Feng Xiyan ordered, "Yin Mirror, show them the scene of the Dizhu Tribe’s attack on the Yurong Border Pass Garrison."
"Yes, Master." The Yin Mirror responded, then waved her hand.
