Sitting around the long wooden table, Hua Yuyu said, "He didn’t tell us the whole truth."
Bai Hanyun, Wu Jun, and Ouyang Zhuangyu nodded in agreent.
"I noticed that his expression stiffened when Brother Hua asked him if he was a veteran," Bai Hanyun said.
"I also noticed that," Wu Jun and Ouyang Zhuangyu said in unison.
Looking at the others, Hua Yuyu said with certainty, "Sothing is fishy about the border town. I guess this soldier is not a retired veteran, but a deserter."
Pondering his words, Bai Hanyun asked, "Should we investigate the border town?"
Just as her words fell, the air in the kitchen distorted. Before anyone could react, a soft voice echoed in the room.
"Fairy Bai."
When they heard the familiar gentle voice, everyone turned to look at the entrance of the kitchen.
Seeing the Yin Mirror there, Bai Hanyun’s eyes flickered with surprise. Standing up from her seat, she asked worriedly, "Did sothing happen to Feng Xiyan?"
The Yin Mirror shook her head in response. "Fairy Bai, my Master is fine."
Hearing this, Bai Hanyun let out a sigh of relief, then asked further, "Then... Why are you here? Do you need our help?"
"Fairy Bai, my Master couldn’t contact you or the young masters, so he asked to find you and check on your situation." The Yin Mirror explained calmly.

Unlocking her phone, Bai Hanyun found the missed video call and new ssages in their group chat. Opening her WeChat, she read the ssages, then quickly called Feng Xiyan.
In less than two seconds, the video call connected.
As soon as Feng Xiyan saw Bai Hanyun’s face appear on his screen, he asked worriedly, "Yun’er, why didn’t you answer my call? Are you alright?"

After listening to her explanation, Feng Xiyan let out a sigh of relief. "It’s fine. I’m also at fault for worrying too easily."
Understanding that he might still be affected by the last incident, Bai Hanyun smiled and shook her head. "Thank you for worrying about us."
Seeing that they were fine, the Yin Mirror said, "Fairy Bai, since everyone is safe, I will return to my Master’s side."
