"Boyfriend?"

At this mont.

Ah Yue also walked over, looking down at Chen Lusi lying on Lin Ying, and asked bluntly.

Lin Ying withdrew her gaze from the petite girl and shook her head.

"Alright then."

Ah Yue didn’t mind and instead asked, "...By the way, do you want to try recruiting him into my team?"

Lin Ying frowned slightly at his words, seeming hesitant.

"Don’t worry, even if those old folks who seek immortality don’t like , they won’t drag the lower-level mbers into it, and I’m still doing just fine."

Ah Yue seed to understand her concern and said with a smile, "I quite like this guy; it’s probably just a gut feeling. Besides, the authority he displays isn’t suitable for leaving unchecked. If it’s really not suitable, he can quit in half a year."

"...Alright." Lin Ying thought for a mont, glanced at Chen Lusi, and finally nodded in agreent.

"That’s settled then... but we need to confirm the sequence first."

Ah Yue looked at the petite girl not far away and smiled, "Xia Panqiu, dear niece, get to work."

As he spoke, he tossed the notebook the girl had just thrown to him over to her.

Then, from sowhere, he pulled out a yellowed, seemingly old piece of brown paper and gave it a gentle shake.

"I’ve been working all along."

The girl nad Xia Panqiu caught the notebook, complained, and then reluctantly said, "Go ahead."

"Chen Lusi."

"Danger Sequence, C."

"Ability Sequence, C."

"Importance, Low."

"Celestial Strategy Mansion’s third team special recruitnt."

"Alright, report it to Kunlun like this."

Ah Yue summarized as he picked up the brown paper and looked at Chen Lusi.

The next second.

As if sothing was pulling it, faint blue dots of light erged from Chen Lusi’s body, gradually forming lines that slowly gathered towards the paper.

On the other side.

Xia Panqiu quickly wrote down Ah Yue’s summary and assessnt in the notebook.

Then she looked up seriously, "I have no objections to the rest, but I think the danger sequence should be upgraded to A. His Transforming Blade ability is too dangerous for ordinary people... And I don’t think recruiting him into Celestial Strategy is a good idea."

"C, you saw it earlier; his arm got dislocated cutting a bullet. Although it can barely handle modern weapons, it’s uncertain against fully automatic weapons."

Ah Yue chuckled, "It has so lethality but can be dealt with using modern weapons. By all standards, a C rating is fine. As for joining Celestial Strategy... if you think it’s dangerous, isn’t letting him join exactly the right thing?"

"...But your standards are still problematic."

Xia Panqiu insisted on her view regarding the sequence, "And if you were to judge, ninety-nine percent of people would be rated C and D; it’s not accurate."

"Trust , it’s fine." Ah Yue waved his hand.

"A! I insist!" Xia Panqiu refused to budge.

"AAA, everything’s an A. Even if you encountered a dangerous dog, you’d still call it an A."

Ah Yue looked at his stubborn niece with mild annoyance, "Is your grievance with your chest that deep?"

"..."

Xia Panqiu’s pale face instantly flushed red. She rolled up the notebook in her hand and hurled it at Ah Yue’s face: "Go to hell!!!"

Ah Yue caught the notebook effortlessly, shaking his head with a smile: "Alright, just report it like this. This person might be your teammate in the future, so don’t be too hard on others... although everyone’s situation is different, it’s clear that this Chen Lusi doesn’t want to end up like this."

"I’m not being hard on others; I’m just concerned... Don’t forget Lu Hao."

Xia Panqiu pursed her lips, cald down, and whispered, "And his outco... You wouldn’t want a second Lu Hao either."

Paused.

He looked at Chen Lusi in Lin Ying’s arms and continued, "Moreover, he’s very unusual. Who remains so calm after being cut? I suspect he has psychological issues. Either he’s psychopathic or extrely pessimistic, which is also an unstable factor."

Upon hearing this, Lin Ying slightly raised her head again.

"Lu Hao was an exception; don’t look at others with tinted glasses, it’s not fair. As for psychological problems, with the current life pressures, it’s normal."

Ah Yue tossed the notebook back to her: "And if you think it’s abnormal, go counsel him, try to change him. What’s the use of saying it here?"

Xia Panqiu caught the notebook again, unable to refute, she could only say, "...At least you should check what category his authority falls under and what it’s called before making a judgnt."

"Fine."

Ah Yue reluctantly picked up the brown paper in his hand and glanced at it.

"How is it?" Xia Panqiu asked.

Ah Yue looked at the paper and didn’t answer but showed a thoughtful expression.

Xia Panqiu grew a little anxious, "Hey."

"Third Category."

Ah Yue ca back to his senses, folded the brown paper and casually stuffed it into his pocket, "As for the na, ask him yourself. Familiarize yourself; at any rate, it’s not called Blade Control. Rember, he’s not Lu Hao."

"Next ti, you don’t need to follow. If you’re truly worried, send Chen Lusi ho, and take the ti to properly explain the situation to him."

"There’s been quite a backlog of people waiting for explanations lately, and Chen Lusi can join them."

"I’ll have Wu You head over."

"..."

Xia Panqiu lowered her head and looked at Chen Lusi, with a thoughtful expression, and after a long while, she murmured, "Explain... Alright, I’ll take him back."

"Lin Ying, Chen Lusi doesn’t live here, does he? Give Panqiu the address so she can take him ho. As the host, it’s best not to stay in the sa place."

Ah Yue looked at Lin Ying: "Additionally, give Panqiu the person. There are still a bunch of ordinary people waiting for you to hypnotize. This ti there were too many witnesses, plenty to keep busy with."

"Alright."

Lin Ying thought for a mont but didn’t oppose.

Ah Yue turned his head: "Old Li, you should also sift through and see if there are any other Empowerers."

The Security Army’s leader nodded: "Okay, and what about you?"

"I’ll go up the mountain to check out the stone niche Chen Lusi ntioned, and then I’ll move on to the next place."

Ah Yue stretched lazily: "Who knows when I’ll get to rest..."

The Security Army’s leader automatically ignored the latter half of the sentence, curiously asking, "Do you think there’s a problem with that stone niche?"

"No, I’m just curious to take a look."

Ah Yue looked into the distance and smiled.

...

Everything that happened next.

Chen Lusi didn’t know at all.

He woke up once during this period, but before he could even see the surroundings clearly, he felt pain in his neck and fainted again.

By the ti he woke up again.

He found himself lying in his rented apartnt.

And it was already evening.

"..."

Ignoring his headache, Chen Lusi sat up on the bed and rubbed his temples.

Only then did he realize that he hadn’t even taken off his shoes.

Looking at his feet on the bed, he recalled.

The mories from the day surged up.

He couldn’t help but raise his hand to check it closely... it was a normal hand.

A dream?

Impossible.

As soon as the thought erged, Chen Lusi shook his head.

He got up from the bed, walked to the doorway, turned on the light, then lifted his shirt to inspect his abdon.

The scar was still there.

Proving everything from the day wasn’t a dream.

As for how he returned to the rented apartnt...

Chen Lusi looked around and soon noticed the note on the table.

He walked over, picked it up, and glanced at it.

"Call if you encounter any abnormal situations. No hurting people, no showing off, no actively using your authority."

"I’m watching you, so behave yourself."

"Three days later, at noon, co to the top floor of Zhengyuan Mansion in Peng City."

"——Xia Panqiu."

"..."

The note included detailed addresses and phone numbers.

Looking at the note in his hand, Chen Lusi remained silent for a mont before muttering to himself, "Three days later. From today or tomorrow? How can it be this imprecise? Would it be difficult to write the date?"

Just as he finished speaking.

His phone suddenly vibrated in his pocket.

Chen Lusi took out his phone. At first, he found it strange that the phone still worked after soaking in the rain for so long, but then he quickly rembered that water resistance is a selling point for phones recently and let the issue slide.

He lowered his head to wake up the phone and glanced at it.

A new ssage.

From Xia Panqiu — "Starting from today."

"..."

Chen Lusi slowly moved his gaze from the phone, glanced at the balcony, then dropped the note and fell backward onto the bed, staring at the ceiling, muttering, "This is really terrifying."
