The Five Elents Spirit Root suited the Five Talisman Scripture, the physical transformation suited the True Yang Body, and the Five Viscera and Five Qi corresponded to mastering the Five Thunders. A realization dawned on Yang Jing. The Cocoon Formation and Embryonic Developnt would adjust his body, making it more suitable for his Cultivation Techniques.
He summoned a stream of Red Fire to incinerate the Blood Cocoon on the ground, then called forth clean water to wash his body before finally putting on his Daoist Robe.
After undergoing the Cocoon Formation and Embryonic Developnt, although Yang Jing had completely depleted the vitality stored in his nine Acupoints, he felt better than he ever had before.
Qi Refining prioritizes the Dantian above all else; it is of utmost importance. If it were damaged during cultivation, the possibility of achieving Foundation Establishnt would be all but eliminated. Even for Core Formation, the Golden Core is also ford within the Dantian.
Body Refinent, however, was different. It used one’s vitality to refine the nature’s spiritual energy absorbed by the Spirit Root. The resulting True Qi was stored in the body’s many Acupoints and circulated through the limbs, bones, and internal organs to achieve Washing Marrow and Changing Tendons, thereby altering the body’s innate constitution.
The two paths were clearly distinct.
Yang Jing took out the Foundation Establishnt Pill from his Storage Bag. Because True Qi was far more violent and difficult to ta than the gentler Magical Power, Body Refining Foundation Establishnt was considerably more dangerous than its Qi Refining counterpart. Without the protection of a Foundation Establishnt Pill, a Qi Refining Cultivator who failed would rely suffer shattered ridians from the surging Magical Power; with luck, they might even survive. However, if a Body Refining Cultivator failed Foundation Establishnt, their physical body would be utterly obliterated by their True Qi. Not only would they not leave a complete corpse, but even the surrounding terrain would be devastated.
The Foundation Establishnt Pill from the General Affairs Hall was potent. The pill itself was perfectly round and flawless, with the lustrous, jade-green color of an erald. It was a Middle Grade pill.
Without hesitation, Yang Jing tipped his head back and swallowed the Foundation Establishnt Pill.
As the pill’s dicinal power took effect, Yang Jing looked inward and saw a tough, silver mbrane of light covering all the ridians and Acupoints in his body.
This was why the Foundation Establishnt Pill allowed a Cultivator who failed Foundation Establishnt to try again. The mbrane of light could take the brunt of the explosive impact from the True Spiritual Magical Power in place of the ridians and Acupoints, thus preventing irreparable damage upon failure.
Next, a torrential surge of dicinal power erupted from his Dantian.
This dicinal power could help a Cultivator compensate for a lack of Magical Power during Foundation Establishnt, pushing them past the threshold of the Magical Power Barrier, one of the Foundation Establishnt Three Gates. However, if a Cultivator’s Magical Power was simply too pathetic, the pill would be useless, and they would still fail.
Yang Jing used his Five Elents Wheel to receive this incredibly potent dicinal power. Since he was only undergoing Body Refining Foundation Establishnt this ti, this particular surge of power was not of much use to him.
Following that dicinal power was a wave of gentle, pure qi that shot straight up into the Purple Mansion Sea of Consciousness within his Mud Ball Palace. Nourished by this pure qi, his Divine Sense began to grow rapidly, like bamboo shoots after a spring rain.
One hundred ten feet, one hundred fifty feet, one hundred eighty feet.
His growing Divine Sense finally stopped expanding when its range reached two hundred feet. The Foundation Establishnt Pill was indeed one of the few Tier Two Spiritual Pills capable of significantly increasing one’s Divine Sense.
Thanks to the passive nourishnt from his Magical Power and physical body, on top of his long-term consumption of Awakening Tea, Yang Jing’s Divine Sense was already exceptionally powerful, far surpassing other Cultivators of his generation. With the added boost from the Foundation Establishnt Pill, Yang Jing felt his Divine Soul tremble violently. It felt light and ethereal, on the verge of flying away, giving him the illusion that it might leave his body entirely.
Yang Jing steadied his mind. The protective effect of the Foundation Establishnt Pill on his ridians and Acupoints wouldn’t last long. He had to complete his Foundation Establishnt before it faded.
For a Body Refining Cultivator undergoing Foundation Establishnt, the most critical Acupoint was the Chest Acupoint. They first needed to break it open with True Qi.
A Cultivator with insufficient True Qi would be completely unable to open this Acupoint, resulting in imdiate failure of their Foundation Establishnt. After breaking this Acupoint open, one’s total vitality would surge, increasing fivefold.
Such a massive amount of vitality would place an enormous burden on the body. If one’s physical body wasn’t strong enough to withstand it, they would have no choice but to expel the excess, leading to failure in their Foundation Establishnt.
Only by holding on until the True Qi transford into True Gang would the Foundation Establishnt be considered a success.
Yang Jing cultivated the True Yang Body, and his Celestial True Yang was considered of the highest level even within the Nine Yang Sect, let alone comparing it to the True Qi produced by ordinary Body Refining Techniques. He encountered no obstacle at the Tan Zhong Acupoint; one surge of his incomparably pure Celestial True Yang was enough to break it right open.
BOOM!
Yang Jing heard an explosive sound erupt from within his body.
The Tan Zhong Acupoint is also known as the Jiang Palace, or the Mid-Autumn Red Palace. The mont this Acupoint was opened, it triggered the hidden reserves within all the other Acupoints throughout his body.
The three hundred-so unopened Acupoints all over his body began to vibrate in unison, as if they had connected to an infinite sea of True Yang. A near-endless torrent of Celestial True Yang surged forth from them all at once.
All of this Celestial True Yang had been accumulated over countless days and nights within these sealed Acupoints, which had passively circulated energy in ti with his True Yang Body’s cultivation.
The torrential Celestial True Yang was locked tightly within his body. Yang Jing felt like a pressure cooker, his body on the verge of being stretched to its breaking point and exploding at any mont. At a ti like this, if his foundation was insufficient, he would have no choice but to release this excess Celestial True Yang from his body, failing at the final hurdle.
But with Yang Jing’s deep foundation, he naturally wouldn’t fail to withstand this trial.
He guarded his mind, ignoring the searing, tearing pain that wracked his body, and began to mobilize the Celestial True Yang within him using the thod of Qi Condensation into Evil.
Leveraging his Qi Condensation Talent, he had once condensed his Five Talisman Scripture Magical Power into Five Elents True Slaughter. The process of transforming Celestial True Yang into Celestial True Gang was remarkably similar.
He expertly circulated the True Yang. After an unknown amount of ti, Yang Jing finally condensed the first wisp of Celestial True Gang. A chain reaction imdiately followed, and the massive amount of Celestial True Yang began converting into Celestial True Gang at an astonishing speed.
After converting all of his True Yang into True Gang, Yang Jing slowly opened his eyes, a sharp glint flashing through his pupils. The next mont, an aura-like Celestial True Gang erupted from his body, solidifying into a gossar Vestnt Robe that draped itself over his Daoist Robe.
The color of Celestial True Gang was similar to that of True Yang—a mix of cyan and yellow—but there was a qualitative difference between the two. True Yang was ethereal; when released, it was like a spiritual fla, flickering and insubstantial. True Gang, however, was different. It could easily achieve the feat of Transforming Void into Reality.
Yang Jing reached out and clenched his fist, and the True Gang in his palm condensed into a longsword.
The longsword had the texture of jade and was the sa cyan-yellow color. It looked just like a True Sword, showing no sign that it was condensed from True Gang.
He could feel his physical strength, which had previously stagnated, now growing at an astonishing rate after having broken through its shackles. An unstoppable river of power was welling up from deep within his body.
Yang Jing dispersed the longsword and threw a casual punch. A sharp whistling sound imdiately echoed through the Quiet Chamber. The force of the punch struck the iron wall, instantly causing a swath of Restrictions to light up as they resisted the Giant Power contained within the blow.
He thought back to Wu Chunqiu in Huashan County. ’I feel like I could kill him with a single punch now.’
"So this is Foundation Establishnt."
Upon successfully reaching Foundation Establishnt, because his physical body had already reached the Qi Cultivation Limit, Yang Jing naturally awakened a Divine Technique.
This Divine Technique was called Copper Head and Iron Arm.
