The Demon-Catching Tripod was once the Sect’s Treasure of the Western Demon Sect, but the original Tier Five version had disappeared long ago when the sect splintered. Today, while the Refining Technique for the tripod had spread throughout the Four Demon Sects, managing to create one that could reach Tier Four was exceedingly rare.

After confirming that no one was following him, Yang Jing quietly returned to his residence in the Northern Army Governor’s Mansion and dispelled the Inconstant Illusionary Form Technique.
His disciples were busy with their own tasks; so were occupied with Talisman Making, others with Artifact Refining. Yang Jing, however, simply plopped down leisurely on a recliner and took out the Jade Scroll containing the Refining Atlas for the Demon-Catching Tripod.
Sowhat unexpectedly, fifty to sixty percent of the Refining Atlas for the Demon-Catching Tripod was actually identical to the Taoist Sect’s thods of Artifact Refining.
But on second thought, it made sense. The very first Demon Cultivators were Taoist Sect Cultivators who had been tempted by Outer Celestial Demons and corrupted by Demon Contamination. They still carried heavy traces of their Taoist origins.
The more ancient the Magical Treasure, the more its Refining Technique had in common with that of the Taoist Sect.

The original intent behind this tripod was to use a Magical Treasure to imitate the mighty power of the Other-Transford Self-Free Celestial Demon, one of the Celestial Demons.
The Other-Transford Self-Free Celestial Demon is one of the Four Celestial Princes and rules over all other demons. Its status among the Outer Celestial Demons is far beyond that of any ordinary one. For all other kinds of Celestial Demons from the Outer Realm, there are corresponding Demon Skills in circulation; a Cultivator can practice these skills to transform into that type of demon. But for the Other-Transford Self-Free Celestial Demon, no such Demon Skill is known to exist in the Nine Heavens World.

The fundantal Restriction of the Demon-Catching Tripod was a single Ten Thousand Transformations Demon Prohibition, supplented by various auxiliary Restrictions, and even a Taoist Sect Demon-Locking Treasure Prohibition. The complexity of all these Restrictions far surpassed that of the Celestial Waterfall Sword and any other Spiritual Artifact Yang Jing had previously refined.
Yang Jing had never even heard of the Demon-Locking Treasure Prohibition. He could only deduce that it was a Taoist Sect Restriction based on its style, which was completely different from the other Demon Prohibitions.
The creator of the Demon-Catching Tripod had not only created a Top Tier Restriction like the Ten Thousand Transformations Demon Prohibition, but had also perfectly combined all these complex Restrictions into a flawless whole.
Their attainnts in Artifact Refining were so profound that Yang Jing felt a sense of awe, as if gazing up at a towering mountain.
However, a Top Tier Magical Treasure like this also had extrely high requirents for the skill of the Artifact Refiner. This was especially true for the Ten Thousand Transformations Demon Prohibition, whose difficulty surpassed all the other Restrictions.

Before obtaining the Refining Atlas for the Demon-Catching Tripod, Yang Jing naturally couldn’t tell the quality of this particular tripod. But now that he had the atlas, he realized its refining was an absolute ss. The fact that it was even successfully created was a complete fluke.
With his perfectionist nature, he was tempted to lt down the Demon-Catching Tripod on the spot and reforge it.
Seeing Yang Jing circle it, shaking his head and sighing, the Demon-Catching Tripod imdiately began to tremble with fear.
Yang Jing suppressed the urge, gave the Demon-Catching Tripod a reassuring pat, and put it back into his Storage Bag.
Reforging a Spiritual Artifact was no simple matter. If the thod was improper, the intelligence within the Spiritual Artifact would be destroyed, and the result would be equivalent to a brand-new Spiritual Artifact.
The Artifact Spirits of Demon Sect Treasures were mostly perverse and volatile. Chi Yu’s Red Blood Saber was a typical example; it would injure people at the slightest provocation and would even turn on its own master.
