I treated the wolf’s wounds
“No, aside from the burns, it looks like it might have been stabbed by sothing sharp.”
“…You’re right. Could it have been stabbed by sothing, and then burned…afterwards?”
“I do not know. I think it might have been a magic attack… That is why there is not much blood.”
“Indeed…”
If Ms. Johanna was right, then perhaps it was the one good thing, as the burn prevented it from losing too much blood.
“In any case, I better hurry. This might sting a little, but it will pass, alright?”
“Gyaahh! Kuuun…”
The wolf let out a yelp just as the Loe touched the wound.
Still, Leo’s warning must have worked, as the wolf did not move or try to get away.
“Kyuu… Bow?”
A few seconds later, the wolf let out a puzzled noise, as if the pain had gone away.
Good, good. You did well.
“…The opening has closed and healed. The pain must have subsided too.”
“What a relief…”
“It doesn’t hurt anymore?”
“It looks like it, Liza. Thank you, Johanna.”
There was no blood now, and even the burn was gone completely.
Of course, the fur was still charred and short… But it would grow back eventually.
I sighed with relief, while Claire reassured Liza and thanked Johanna.
“Wuff…”
“I am so glad.”
“Kyau.”
Leo, Tilura and Sherry were also relieved. As was Ms. Hermine who stood behind them.
“Sorry to keep you waiting. Here is the water and food… Did sothing happen, Mr. Takumi?”
Ms. Lyra and Nicholas returned right after that, and seed to have noticed the change in atmosphere.
She was holding a lot of at in both hands, while Nicholas had a barrel of water. It seed like a lot…
“Thank you. In fact…”
I accepted the food and offered it to the wolf as I explained to them what had happened.
The wolf hesitated at first, but its hunger won eventually, and it began to tear into the food.
Tilura and Liza were also attempting to feed it the food that was on a plate. I noticed that Tilura seed to be back to her usual self as well.
“…Did you have enough?”
“Bow!”
The wolf was looking a lot better now, and it wagged its tail in answer.
It had consud more water and food than I had expected, which showed how hungry it was.
“Hah-ha-hah! Bow-bow!”
“Haha. There, there… I’ll pet you later too, Leo.”
“Wou…”
It seed to be fond of , perhaps it was because I had been the one to heal it. And so it rubbed against while sticking out its tongue and wagging its tail. Leo was a little jealous, and so I had to reassure her.
“Still, who would leave a wounded wolf here… Well, hardly anyone passes, so it’s possible that no one had seen it until Leo discovered it.”
I heard Ms. Lyra talking to Claire and Nicholas behind .
“Yes. No one has co during this whole ti. Also, it seems like it was wounded here, rather than being wounded sowhere else and being brought here. Nicholas, what about the soldiers?”
Claire asked Nicholas.
