“I-I’m sorry. Calm down, Sherry.”

“Wh-what the hell… A wolf cub? No, it looks different?”
Sherry pounded her paws on top of the desk angrily as she barked at Deurgo.
His words must have upset her deeply.
But Sebastian and I had no idea what she was saying…
Still, I suppose it was good that she hadn’t straight up pounced on Deurgo.
“Bow… Bow-wow…”
“Eh? Your leader? Huh? This little thing is your boss, Volgrau?”
“In-in any case, stop that, Sherry. We are talking here… Alright?”
“Kyau! Gurrrr!”
I picked Sherry up from the table and consoled her.
But she continued to growl and bare her teeth at Deurgo.
Well, I understood why she was so upset…
When I first found Sherry, she had been small enough to pick up easily. But she was quite heavy now… Of course, this was no ti to be impressed with her growth.
“…What is that? It can’t be a wolf cub, or Volgrau wouldn’t consider it superior.”
Deurgo looked at Sherry with deep interest.

Deurgo suddenly started to laugh.
“Old man. I don’t need a hundred gold. Instead, give that fenrir cub.”
“What!”
“Kyau! Gurrr…”
Well…that was expected. I was just surprised that he could say it so simply without any hesitation.
Sherry turned her head away in disgust and continued to growl.
“It is still small and likely not very strong, but that is fine. After all…it will be much better than Volgrau once it is fully grown. As for that rebellious personality…there is nothing that a contract won’t fix.”

Sebastian sighed audibly.
I felt the sa. What the hell was this guy saying? That was my honest reaction…
