He used the magic that injured Volgrau
“…”
“Hmm?”
Deurgo’s mouth opened just a little, and he seed to be muttering sothing.
However, I could not hear him… What could he be saying?
“Now, begin!!”
The judge announced after seeing that we were ready.
And then Deurgo made his move.
“…Spear Flasword Change Straight…”
“Ma-magic!?”
Deurgo jumped back and started to chant.
No, he had started even before the signal.
“Tsk…!”
I was getting used to this kind of thing, and could vaguely sense the presence of magic energy. Like it was gathering towards his left hand. When he finished chanting, it would definitely be unleashed towards .
I didn’t have enough ti to stop him. In that case, I either had to dodge it or block it…
“Powerful Strong Penetrate Shot!”
“Woah!?”
A red spear of fire that was about ten centiters shot out from his left hand.
It then flew straight towards .
As my sword was made of wood, it would be dangerous to try and block it. And so I rolled to the side instead.
The fire spear lost montum before hitting the wall, and it faded away into nothing.
Still, that was a strange spell. He just lined up a lot of words, and it was needlessly long.
Sebastian did say that such magic was not suitable for fighting. I suppose that was why he had to start chanting before the signal.
That being said, it did not appear to be very strong.
Of course, it looked sharp, and would still be painful and burn, so I dodged it… Also, I would lose if it burned my sword.
Ah, I see.
This must be the magic he used on Volgrau… After all, the wolf’s fur had been burned.
“I’m surprised you were able to dodge it! Still, this is the end for you!”
While I was analyzing the magic and had lost my balance after dodging it, Deurgo moved in for a followup attack. He rushed forward and swung down with his sword. Ꞧ𝓪ŊòBЁŞ
However, since there was still so distance between us, and because he was slower than expected, I was able to regain my balance and block the attack with my sword.
“Wha?!”
I didn’t know why he was so easily surprised. As soone who had been training seriously, it was not difficult at all.
Even Tilura could move with more precision than him.
It made think that he had never even properly fought an orc.
“Tsk!”
After realizing that he couldn’t push back, Deurgo jumped back again.
Then he raised his left hand as if to use magic… Perhaps that was all that he was able to do.
Well, it was still dangerous. And so I had no intention of allowing him to use it.
And so I also raised my left hand and activated magic.
“…Light Elental Shine!”
“What!?”
“Alright, that’s enough!”
“Ah…!”
“Mr. Takumi is the winner!”
Deurgo had been glaring at , but the light magic blinded him for an instant. And so when he closed his eyes and looked away, I dashed forward and knocked his sword out of his hand.
And so the fight was over.
“Gah…my eyes…!”
Even after the signal to end the fight, Deurgo was still groaning.
“Tak.”
“Ah, Seba…old man.”
As I looked at Deurgo, who was squating on the ground, Sebastian suddenly approached .
I suppose he had finished talking with Claire then?
