Preparing to move was a lot of work
“Mr. Takumi. What were you and Alfred talking about?”
“Ah, just about my schedule. After all, we will be moving to Range Village soon.”
After Alfred had left, Claire asked what we were talking about… But it was sothing I wanted to keep secret from her.
Also, it was partly true, since I would be making confirmations regarding my schedule as well.
“I see… Yes, this is a busy ti for you and the servants. I will have to discuss matters with Alfred and Lyra as well.”
“Yes. Thankfully, I do not have much personal belongings…”
All I had was my swords and clothes.
Oh, and my saving, as well as a few items that I purchased at Mr. Haines’s store.
But Claire likely had a lot of clothes.
She would also be returning to the mansion regularly and doing a lot of work as Mr. Ekenhart’s representative. So she had to prepare for that as well.
Perhaps she would also be taking her favorite furniture…
“It is very difficult. When I first ca to this house, the journey was the only thing I had to worry about…”
“Well, Ractos is close to this house, so it’s easy to get anything you need. But in Range Village… Well, I suppose good Leo and the fenrirs could help with transportation. But it will still take longer.”
Even on Leo, it would take half a day to go to Ractos and co back from Range Village.
And if you spent a lot of ti shopping, it would take the whole day… We could not go so casually like we do now.
“Hah… That’s true. In general, Sebastian and the servants do a lot of the work. But there are so decisions that I have to make…”
“Haha… Well, moving is always a lot of work.”
Claire sighed.
I had only ever moved once, when I started to live alone as a student. And then I just stayed there.
My uncle and aunt had helped move, and visited often.
“I understand how you feel, Lady Claire… But why not move your dresses a little by little? Surely you will not need all of them imdiately.”
“I agree with you, Sebastian. However, father will surely visit us. And I think I will have more opportunities to wear them than I do here. And I think it would be best to have a dress that is suitable for each occasion…”
Apparently, dresses were very important to her.
Well, I suppose it was best to have a lot of options.
“Ah, you look very relaxed over here.”
“Oh? It’s the fairy?”
“Wuff?”
While I was talking to Claire and Sebastian and drinking tea leisurely, the wooly creature…the fairy, flew towards our table.
Claire and Leo looked at it in surprise.
“Should you be away from Ms. Gelda?”
“It’s fine. If anything, I’ve bothered her enough for now… I will only do it sotis now.”
“I don’t think you should bother her at all…”
When I looked, I saw that Ms. Gelda was nowhere in sight.
Regardless, because of what the fairy had been doing, my tone was a little sharp.
“Perfect timing. We were just talking about fairies a mont ago… And there are things I wish to ask you. Is that alright?”
“Yes, I don’t mind. Ask anything you like.”
“Well then…”
Sebastian started to question the fairy.
Claire and I were curious as well, and so we listened.
Leo had lost all interest though, and so she started to play with Liza and Tilura instead.
“I have heard about your contracts. How it is different from the contracts we humans sotis make with monsters.”
“Yes, it’s different. Not that I know much about your contracts… But ours is special because only we can do it!”
According to the fairy, the contract wasn’t about being subservient or equals or anything like that. It was about offering protection.
The fairy would offer a little help and support here and there without being noticed.
However, this contract could only be made with children.
And so Sebastian asked why this was the case…
