We ran towards Ractos
“I’m sorry. Please tell Alfred to have Feri and the other fenrirs go on walks as well. Of course, only if they want to. Also, they might want to carry people too.”
“Certainly!”
It would be unfair to only take so of the fenrirs out, and so I left a ssage for Alfred to take the others on walks as well.
“Could I ride on the fenrirs as well!?”
“Uh, you can decide that with Sebastian and the other guards. It’s not my…though, I think if the fenrirs like it, then anyone can ride them.”
Out of the two guards, one of them wanted to ride on the fenrirs.
However, I was not in a position to tell him he could do that while on duty.
“I-I see…”
He seed to have decided with disappointnt that Sebastian was not likely to give him permission. The other guard patted him on the shoulder consolingly.
“Alright…are you ready?”
“Wuff!”
“Grau!”
After talking with the guards, I returned to the others and prepared to run.
Leo and I were in the front. And Liza and Ms. Lyra were on Leo’s back.
Behind us, the fenrirs were in a neat row.
“Well, let’s go!”
“Wuff!”
And so I started to run towards Ractos.
This ti, I would run without stopping.
As for Leo and the fenrirs. I don’t think they were really running, but that was fine!

“Hah! Hah, hah! Hah!”
So ti had now passed, and I tried to keep my breathing steady while maintaining my pace.
That was the important thing to do when running in a marathon.
I’m sure that there were other things too, but as I was an amateur, that was what I decided to focus on.
“Hah, hah, hah, hah!”
“You can do it, papa!”
“Wuff-wuff!”
“Mr. Takumi, please rest if you can’t go on any longer.”
As I ran, I heard Liza cheering from Leo’s back.
And Ms. Lyra waas also encouraging.
Also, knowing that there were many fenrirs behind helped to propel forward. It was like extra pressure.
“Hah, ha, hah, ha! Ahh, still not very far…”
I looked over my shoulder and saw that the mansion was still there.
It was a large house, so it could be seen from far away. Still, I could not see the walls of Ractos up ahead, so there was still a long way to go.
I decided that it would be best to not look back any more.

More ti passed, and I finally saw the walls up ahead. I could feel my body craving oxygen as I kept my feet moving.
My pace had dropped quite a bit…but I could still run!
I had heard that thinking used up oxygen. And so it was better to not think about anything. Or maybe I’m misrembering.
In any case, my mind tended to wander during such tis.
“I think…the amount of ti a human can run at full speed is…”
It was supposed to be forty-two seconds.
Even if you ant to run at full speed, it would be dropping from there.
Well, I wasn’t running at full speed anyway…and my pace was dropping… Wait, why am I running in the first place?
Leo was looking at worriedly. I could hear Liza’s voice.
I have to keep going. But I’m thirsty…
My breathing grew more and more coarse, but my feet did not stop…
