Leo was staring at us
“Regardless, what is really important is not to keep Leo and the others out of view. The important thing is to make sure that rules are being followed when it cos to making monsters your familiars.”
“Yes, I was thinking about that too. Especially after the incident with Deurgo and Volgrau…”
“Indeed. Currently, it is sothing that anyone can do. And so it all depends on that person. But now that I have Sherry…I must think about it more seriously.”
There was a need to have rules in place. But if they required a permit, then everyone who already had a familiar would complain…
“And so it is sothing that I would like to discuss… However, Takumi…could you go out for a mont?”
“Huh? I wanted to discuss the matter as well. Is there sothing you don’t want to hear?”
“No… There is no problem if you hear it. After all, it will affect you and Leo in the future. It’s just… Look out the window…”
Apparently, it was not so secret talk between nobles like I had expected.
And so I turned my head to look where he was pointing…
“Leo!?”
Leo was staring right at us through the window.
Even Claire was surprised.
It was quite impressive that she was able to run at the exact sa speed as the carriage and stare at us so that it looked like she wasn’t moving…
“She has been staring at us for quite so ti now. It is as if…she is annoyed that we are talking and having so much fun here.”
“Wuff! Wuff-wuff!”
Leo must have been able to hear him, as she barked in protest.
I could hear her clearly even through the glass and knew what she wanted to say.
It was true that she had been staring at us, but it was for a different reason.
“Wou! Wou-wuff!”
“I think…she doesn’t like that I’ve been in here the whole ti. Since…this is a good opportunity to run together.”
While she was carrying Liza, she wanted to carry as well.
“Haha. So she wants to be with you, Takumi. I see… Claire?”
“Ye-yes?”
“That butler, earlier. I suppose he is the most important out of the duke’s servants? He sure looks old and acts like it…”
“Yes, while he is not the steward of the Liebert household, he is one of my father’s most trusted butlers. And has worked at the mansion…villa for a very long ti.”
“I see. Alright then. So Claire, Sebastian and…one other person. We can talk about the familiars. And Takumi can go play with Leo.”
“…Fine. I won’t be able to relax with Leo staring at anyway.”
And so I had no choice but to get out of the carriage and climb onto Leo’s back. anwhile, Claire and Sebastian would talk with Mr. Euto.
He also wanted one other person. And so I decided to send Alfred in my stead, as he would be able to share his opinions as well.
Alfred could make a report to later.
Claire and Sebastian were also basically representing Mr. Ekenhart. Obviously, what was discussed would not be final imdiately. But it was a good way to co up with various ideas.
However, just as the carriage stopped…we realized that it was ti for lunch anyway. And so we set up a simple camping area and decided to talk while eating.
But as there were a lot of fenrirs, preparing enough food for all of them turned out to be quite an ordeal…
