We talked while looking up at the night sky
“During such tis, it might be interesting to talk about constellations…but…”
“Oh, I am finding it interesting enough, just talking casually with you.”
“Uh, yes… too.”
I could tell from her smile and the way that she said it, that she ant it.
I felt sothing in my chest that was not really pain, but excitent.
“They had constellations where you are from?”
“Yes. I don’t know much about them, though.”
In general, I did not have a habit of looking at the sky.
“Well, can you see that bright star over there? Near the moon.”
“Yes. I can.”
I looked to where she was pointing. It was clear and bright.
“Start from there…and connect to there…”
“Uh… Ah, there. Hmm…”
Claire moved her finger to connect the stars in the sky.
Her finger was long and pretty…
“And then…it becos a Silver Fenrir!”
“…A Silver Fenrir.”
“Yes. At least, that’s what it is in these parts.”
After looking for so ti, I was able to see the four limbs, face and tail… Yes, it was a Silver Fenrir.
“Though, it could look like an ordinary fenrir too?”
“No, that is a Silver Fenrir. There is another one for fenrirs…”
“Ah, I see…”
Claire then taught about several other constellations.
In this world, monsters were quite common, and so there were a lot that were based on monsters like orcs.
“Ahhh!”
“Woah!”
While we talked, we were also looking up in spite of it being dark, and so Claire tripped over sothing.
While she didn’t fall, my hands were full, and so I stepped in front of her for support.
“Perhaps it is a little too dangerous to be walking and looking at the stars at the sa ti.”
“Ye-yes… Um, Mr. Takumi…?”
“Huh…?”
I sighed with relief that she did not fall and hurt herself.
But then she looked up and hesitated to say sothing.
I was not that tall, and Claire was taller than most won. And so her face was right below mine.
And while it was too dark to see clearly, the moonlight seed to reflect in her eyes.
“Mr. Takumi…I…”
“Claire…”
Neither of us moved, and just stared at each other for so ti.
Now that I thought about it, sothing like this had happened before…
Only, this ti, there was no one else here to bother us. Still, a voice inside said to not get carried away by the mont…
