Mutation.

The term has beco a buzzword in modern society, akin to containnt objects and the Shield Bureau.

Who could remain calm after witnessing the Zombie Lord annihilate the world? In just a few breaths, the spray infected all humans, mutating them into huge eyeballs, wailing on the ground.

It's terrifying!

Humans instantly transford into an alien civilization.

Even disaster movies dare not portray such scenes.

Humans before this being are like tissues, easily crushed and crumpled.

"Are you mutating... ? And not the known Pupil Demon's mutation, but an unknown mysterious entity?" Lu La suddenly felt nervous.

He didn't believe that such power, re months after the apocalypse, could be rapidly cultivated by the man in front of him, unless he was a super genius.

Of course, there's another possibility.

The man in front of him, Li Qingshan, might be one of those ti-traveling human Saviors who have lived for decades, naturally retaining such level of power, and hiding the zombie lords.

But human Saviors are the hope for humanity's reboot; they wouldn't expose themselves as a joke.

As for the zombie lords, hiding among the crowd, constantly evading, consuming humans, replacing others' identities... Actively exposing their identities would be suicidal.

Though it's inconceivable, Lu La had a strong intuition: it might be true.

"I believe you, could you explain in detail?" Lu La asked.

"I can explain."

Li Qingshan took a breath. His following narrative left Lu La incredulous for the rest of his life!

He described a grand epic of civilization, with so terrifying information, initially glimpsing a fragnt of the cosmic truth.

And...

A possible truth about our world.

Li Qingshan said, "That was an ancient being; I am rely a strand of consciousness in its Multi-Dinsional World, aligning with so of its thoughts... Though it's hard to comprehend, that's the reality; I'm becoming it, but it is not ."

"My mory began in a very small world; they called it a Small Thousand World, cultivating the Martial Path..."

"But their civilization was fraught; by the three hundreds, Martial Arts Saints erged, who could wander in Chaos. They discovered the world had a Cosmic Crystal Wall structure, each a grid. However, this world was closed to them; they might be living in a sealed, local region."

"After reaching this conclusion, they couldn't escape to the outside world. The entire civilization went mad: so committed suicide, others despaired... Later, they cald down and spent thousands of years; countless human Saints paved a tunnel."

"A tunnel?"

"Yes, a pitch-black, narrow, terrifying tunnel penetrating the Crystal Wall World on the other side. Yet, it was the hope for the entire civilization, covered in blood and tears. Their grim journey surpasses imagination, a despairing tragedy."

"Before the tunnel, they left a stone monunt, recording the deaths of over eight thousand Saints, necessary to break through the tunnel."

"And the one who opened the tunnel, that generation's Civilization Monarch, was the man... my na."

Li Qingshan calmly, yet with choking emotion, narrated that cold destiny, "He had both a Western and an Eastern na; those were his main nas, but I don't rember them."

"Honestly, my other mories are vague, but I rember leaving vividly."

"Initially, the visual world was gray; only a fist—a fist of unimaginable spirit and power—that man opened the final journey with this fist, saying to his world:

'Farewell, my holand. After experiencing the dawn of five generations of kings, we shall step into the distant stars, leaving this cradle, hoping that in the far future, new civilizations and new us will be born in this cradle.'

"Afterwards, he took the civilization stone tablet from before the tunnel with him and left behind a new blank stone monunt, hoping that future generations could mark their own civilization's heroes on this path."

Lu La listened quietly.

The language was simple and unadorned, yet it contained a bitter history of transformation, a mysterious civilization breaking free, a great Emperor breaking through the world.

"You might not understand the grandeur of the situation."

Li Qingshan exhaled:

"Perhaps for ordinary human ages, our lifespan barely reaches a century, and the changes in civilization are not that heart-wrenching. But for Advanced Civilization, advancing civilization is a truly painful matter. Their lifespan is so long, and the cosmos so vast, yet we are so insignificant."

"However, we are also becoming them; that Otherworld civilization, our lifespan will approach hundreds of years, and our tragedy has been seen in films."

Lu La listened silently, then couldn't help but ask: what happened next?

Li Qingshan paused, "Their entire civilization ascended to the Middle Thousand World, continuing to advance the Martial Arts Civilization."

"Their accumulated foundations explosively increased. In just a few thousand years, they reached the peak, mastered pugilism, swordsmanship, blade techniques to the pinnacle—great Martial Gods thrived across the land."

"Perhaps due to the accumulation from being closed off, breaking through despair allowed them to far surpass other civilizations in strength. The Martial Arts Emperor left myths and legends around various worlds, defeating civilizations with pure and simple fists."

"Finally, he transford into a colossal Martial God, carrying his civilization as his baggage, stepping into chaos, entering the next rank, searching for the true Great Thousand World. This ti, in the Middle Thousand World, he left behind a Martial Path monunt."

"Back then, he wondered: perhaps future generations will be born in the initial cradle of the Small World, pursue the traces we left from our era."

"What about stepping into Chaos?" Lu La couldn't help asking.

"I don't know anymore, it's very vague, extrely vague..."

Li Qingshan exhaled a turbid breath and said:

"I only rember defeating many enemies, growing stronger, facing incredible opponents, earning ancient fa across nearby worlds. People praised its greatness—it was a terrifying existence—but ultimately, it died, and the Martial Arts Civilization perished."

Lu La shivered, couldn't help asking: "How could it die? How did it die?"

"Nothing exists that is immortal." Li Qingshan said, "I was as upset as you seeing that mont, pained for months. I felt as if I beca him, but now I understand; when encountering more terrifying existences, no one can escape."

Lu La asked again: "Ultimately, what rank was their Martial Arts Civilization?"

"Demigod."

"The sa rank as the current Lords??"

Lu La was surprised, thinking it should be stronger!

Even if several levels of civilization difference are acceptable.

"According to my mory, the gap between demigods is very, very vast, even divided into several great ranks—a Divine Path—with so at the starting point, so in the middle, and others at the endpoint."

"This path, if taphorically described, would be equivalent to several thousand newly-broken demigods combined—so long." He made a peculiar taphor, as if ntally ill.

"We are at the Early Period; they are at the end."

"That initial person already could mutate the world; the later entities could only be stronger."

"If that's all, it's just a story, seemingly accessing worldly information, allowing to see uniquely glamorous scenes... But the point that scares the most: in the shattered mories of that existence, I seemingly glimpsed a corner of the truth of our world." Li Qingshan said.

"The truth of our world? What truth?"

"We are likely not human!"

"What do you an?"

"Yes, we have long suffered a mutation, and now human civilization is false. We are no longer our original selves."

The man opposite whispered, and it was this despair that led to his inner collapse.
