When they woke up the next day, Seductive Snake re-bandaged Yun Hao, and then the two prepared to part ways. Yun Hao was heading back to Nanjiang City, while Seductive Snake was returning to Thunder Base!
But just as the two left the hotel and were about to separate, Seductive Snake's phone rang. Glancing at the number, it was Liu ngqi calling!
"What's up, ngqi?"
"Are you with Yun Hao now? Have him take the call!"
"What's the matter? If you needed , why didn't you call directly?" Yun Hao asked Liu ngqi after answering the phone.
"What do you an, what's the matter? Don't you know your phone's out of battery? Don't you know how worried Xiao Yan is about you? Hurry up and give Xiao Yan a call. She just called because she's so worried about you she didn't sleep well, and now she has dark circles. Such a beautiful woman got dark circles worrying about you, don't you feel guilty?" Liu ngqi imdiately lit up, launching into a tirade with the speed of a machine gun!
Helpless, Yun Hao handed the phone back to Seductive Snake. Only a fool would listen when Liu ngqi started her tirade. Then he took out his own phone and found it was indeed out of battery, quickly switching to solar charging mode, and it was ready to power on after about two minutes!
Decisively, he dialed Chu Yan's number. Hearing Chu Yan's tiny emotional complaints on the other end, Yun Hao felt a warm sensation in his heart. If soone truly cares about you, why would they bother about your wellbeing?
"Dear wife, please don't be mad. It's honestly because my phone ran out of battery!"
"Okay, okay, I can make it back by tomorrow!" Yun Hao sweet-talked Chu Yan until she stopped blaming him and reminded him to call her as soon as he returned!
After hanging up, Seductive Snake looked at Yun Hao in surprise, "What? You're not going back today?"
"I am going back, why?" Yun Hao was a bit confused. He never said he wasn't going back today!
"But didn't you just tell your wife you'd only be back tomorrow?"
"Oh, that! I just said that to surprise my wife! Bye now, when you see ngqi, pass a ssage for . Tell her if she keeps nagging like that, she'll never get married!" Yun Hao laughed when he realized this is what Seductive Snake referred to, then waved and got into a taxi!
Though he hadn't been away for long, Yun Hao really wanted to hurry ho!
As he made his way back to Nanjiang City, it was just around lunchti, and Yun Hao didn't go back to the villa but headed straight to Chu Yan's company. Knowing Chu Yan, she'd definitely be in her office reviewing docunts during lunch!
Upon reaching the thirteenth floor, there wasn't even a secretary outside Chu Yan's office, indicating they had all gone to lunch. This was perfect as no one would disturb him and Chu Yan's ti together!
Yun Hao habitually walked straight to the office door, intending to enter, but as soon as his hand touched the doorknob, he heard so very familiar sobbing sounds!
Yun Hao's mind didn't dare to continue. He truly trusted Chu Yan, even more than himself. But just one door away, what was the sound coming from inside?
With his mind already muddled, Yun Hao suddenly heard a male and female voice inside. Since he was preoccupied, he didn't even catch whether the woman speaking was Chu Yan.
Yun Hao was conflicted, so conflicted that he went straight to Zhao Shishi's office instead, not to do anything specific but just to find soone to talk to because he felt pent up!
"Weren't you abroad? Why are you back?" Zhao Shishi was working even though it was lunch when Yun Hao walked in. Stunned to see Yun Hao, she casually asked.
"Finished my business, so I ca back!" Yun Hao sat down on a nearby sofa.
"What happened? Did sothing upset you? If not, stay for a bit. If yes, leave quickly and don't ruin my mood!" Zhao Shishi understood Yun Hao. Though Yun Hao only said a sentence upon entering, her understanding of him told her sothing was off; when they were alone, Yun Hao was talkative, making his silence unusual today!
"Ahem, Shishi, I wanted to ask you sothing." Yun Hao awkwardly coughed and then leaned close to Zhao Shishi's desk, looking at her with anticipation!
"What are you saying? Yun Hao, are you out of your mind? Don't drag into this!" Zhao Shishi initially assud Yun Hao had sothing to say, but his shaless remarks caught her completely off guard, leaving her at a loss for words!
"No, Shishi, I was just curious and wanted to ask!" Yun Hao realized the abruptness of his question. In the past, when he and Zhao Shishi were very close, maybe Zhao Shishi would answer him, but now he'd be lucky if he didn't get slapped!
"Get out, or do you want to take you to ask your beloved Xiao Yan?" Zhao Shishi's face turned stern, but only she knew she was trying hard to conceal her shyness!
Hearing Zhao Shishi's words, Yun Hao couldn't help but recall the sounds he heard outside the office door.
