We stopped at a jewelry store and went inside. The manager seed to be expecting us because he was already waiting at the entrance. He guided us into a private room.

A strange warmth spread through my chest .
Alexander must have noticed staring at it earlier.
He pulled out his card and paid.
"Thank you," I said once we got back into the car.
The ride ho was silent, we finally reached and was about to exit the car,Alexander’s phone suddenly rang.

I stepped out of the car, but suddenly felt dizzy and grabbed the door for support.

His gaze lingered on for a mont before he finally left.
Once I regained my balance, I walked inside, my heart heavy.
If it had been Lilian standing here... would he still have left?
I went straight to my room.
What was I expecting from Alexander?
