Chapter 1148: Chapter 1149: Blaming Everything on Rong Yan
Estelle watched her go crazy with anger, unable to vent it properly because so many journalists had arrived at the scene, all scrambling to capture the farce. Even though she felt chest pain from the rage, she could do nothing but watch the woman’s antics.
The top executives of KT had all e out, and seeing such a motion at the door, they all felt a major headache ing on.
The director walked over to Estelle and asked, “Isn’t there a way to resolve this?”
“She refuses to stop, nor is she willing to e inside to talk. She insists on making Rong Yan e out to the door and intentionally slandering Rong Yan in front of the journalists, refusing to cooperate. I’m at a loss; I certainly can’t have security drive her away. Even if we did, she could just continue making a scene on the main road. As long as she causes a motion, it will negatively impact Rong Yan.”
The director also understood this, “Have you figured out what she wants? Money? If it’s just about money, just give it to her.”
Estelle took a deep breath and shook her head, “I haven’t asked yet. But it’s probably about the money, and another thing, she doesn’t want Rong Yan to live in peace.”
The director, worried about the continuing disturbance and its impact on the pany and Rong Yan, pinched the bridge of his nose and said decisively, “If she wants money, give it to her; as long as money can solve the problem, it’s no problem at all. First, let’s suppress this storm. As for a solution, we can discuss that after the journalists leave.”
“But…” Estelle was about to say that Rong Yan might not agree to give money here.
Suddenly, there was a disturbance at the entrance.
An Audi A8 arrived, and following that, the car door opened, and a middle-aged man in a suit stepped out. It was clear that he had rushed over; his square face looked as if it could drip water. He went straight for the noisy woman, grabbed her by the shoulder with a low and intimidating voice, “Have you had enough of this motion?!”
Jiang Meiqi, suddenly grabbed by the shoulder while preparing to throw a tantrum on the ground, heard a voice that struck fear into her heart. She reflexively trembled before turning her head to meet Rong Nanfeng’s angry face, her neck subconsciously shrinking as she called out, “Nan, Nanfeng.”
Rong Nanfeng, looking at the woman who hardly differed from a shrew, was utterly disgusted, “You’ve had your scene, now e back with me! We’ll discuss this at home!”
Jiang Meiqi, tugged along by him, finally snapped back to reality and shook off his hand forcefully, her face pale as she stood her ground, “I’m not leaving, I want Rong Yan to e out and make things clear!”
“Are you crazy?!” Rong Nanfeng was so angry he couldn’t find an outlet, and mindful of his public image outside, he restrained himself from lashing out right then and there, or else he would have gone at it with Jiang Meiqi long ago.
“Madness has its limits, e back with me, and don’t make me say it again!”
Jiang Meiqi avoided his reaching hand, fear on her face but her demeanor firm, “No! Stop threatening me here. Don’t think I don’t know, you’re just afraid I’ll make a big scene and embarrass you. Plus, you’re afraid of offending Mr. Li because of offending your precious adopted daughter. I advise you, Rong Nanfeng, to stop with your wishful thinking. Rong Yan never took you seriously to begin with, much less to seek your welfare! Back when she was supposedly your ‘daughter,’ you ignored her, staying out all night visiting your mistress, only having eyes for your precious illegitimate son. Now that she has climbed higher, you e running to play the good father; do you think she will fall for it, moved to tears by you? Stop dreaming! You are just like me, she already didn’t want to acknowledge you before, and after finding out there’s no blood relation, she certainly won’t even consider acknowledging you! Do you think your upbringing of her counts for anything? She’s just an ungrateful wolf!”
