Luo Sheng had no choice but to respectfully comply and enter the dilapidated church.
At this mont, Acoley whispered in Luo Sheng’s ear:
“I’m sorry for bringing you to a place like this. I’ve lived here since I was little, so when I heard the forest giant lizard was destroying the village, I rushed back, afraid sothing might happen to Grandma and the others.”
Luo Sheng nodded: “I understand.”

Acoley shared her innermost thoughts.

She went to a room to change clothes, put on an apron, and then started cooking delicious dishes in the simple, dilapidated stone kitchen outside the church.
Grandma Gu also accompanied her, helping out.

“How could I take her away? I just want to give her happiness, a warm ho,” Luo Sheng said earnestly, hand on his heart.
“You’re lying! When I grow up, I’m going to marry Sister Acoley! I’ll make her stay here, and you won’t succeed!” a half-grown boy roared.
“ too! too!” another boy chid in.
Good grief, lifelong rivals!
Luo Sheng’s mouth twitched as he stared at them, saying emotionlessly: “Please call brother-in-law.”
The little ones were all stunned, obviously too young to understand what a brother-in-law ant.
“Brother-in-law…?”
Acoley, who had appeared beside him at so point, asked in confusion.
