A few monts later, Ivy entered the dining hall, followed by a group of maids, each one carefully balancing trays of delicious food.
"Dinner is here, sorry for the little delay, I had to prepare multiple dishes. I hope I didn't keep you all waiting," Ivy apologized as she arranged the food on the table.
"It's fine, Ivy, you worry too much..." Madam Layla reassured her with a warm smile.
The maids swiftly followed suit, filling the dining table with a splendid array of dishes. After a polite bow to Madam Layla, they quietly exited the hall.
The sight of this culinary feast was a delight for Xi ili. Her mouth watered, and she had to muster so restraint to keep from diving headfirst into the array of tantalizing dishes.
"Ahhh... What a delicious aroma coming from the foods, each of them must be super delicious... Oh, I can't wait to feast on them!" Xi ili couldn't help but express her excitent in a hushed voice. Her eyes sparkled like stars in the night sky, reflecting her eagerness.
"Hehe... You don't need to hold yourself back if you're so eager to taste them..." Anna, with a knowing smile, encouraged Xi ili. She was well aware of Xi ili's passion for good food, and her impressive capacity to enjoy it.
"Really?!" Xi ili's eyes widened in delight.
"Of course, you can," Anna confird with a smile.
Without a mont's hesitation, Xi ili began to indulge in the delectable spread.
"Wow! This fish soup is incredibly delicious, and a little spicy too..." Xi ili couldn't contain her excitent as she savored the soup prepared by Ivy.
Madam Layla observed Xi ili with a gentle smile, shaking her head slightly. She couldn't help but wonder about the origins of this girl with such a voracious appetite. She then addressed the table with a smile.
"Before the food gets cold, let's dig in, shall we?"
Yuan and his wives eagerly dug into the delicious al, with Yuan and Emma displaying an impressive capacity for food. They seed to devour plate after plate as if their stomachs were bottomless pits.
'Damn! Whatever Ivy makes turns out really delicious... I'll miss this cooking a lot when we leave this village and continue our journey,' Yuan thought to himself as he continued to enjoy the al.
The Monroe family had grown accustod to witnessing Yuan and so of his wives' massive appetites, and it no longer surprised them.
After a while, Yuan and his wives began to feel full and gradually stopped eating, except for Xi ili, who was still going strong. This was no surprise given Xi ili's dragon heritage, known for both their enormous appetite and imnse strength.
A few monts later, even Xi ili was done eating, and her stomach had indeed taken on a slightly rounder appearance, a testant to the substantial amount of food she'd consud.
"Burp! Ahhh... That was delicious!" Xi ili let out a satisfied burp, rubbing her hand over her stomach.
"Hehe~ ili dear, it seems you've eaten much more than you should. Look at your stomach now, it's beco slightly round. People might mistake you for being pregnant," Anna teased playfully, glancing at Xi ili's rounded midsection.
Xi ili fell silent after Anna's remark, her face turning beet red as she looked at her stomach.
"I also agree on this... Hehe~" Lily chid in, chuckling as she joined in on the playful banter.
Sensing Xi ili's embarrassnt, Yuan stepped in. "Since everyone's finished eating, let's head to the living room and rest for a mont before going to bed."
"Agreed, let's have a chat. It's not good for our health to go to bed right after dinner," Madam Layla added, standing up and heading towards the exit.
Yuan and his wives followed suit, walking together to the living room for a pleasant conversation before retiring for the night.
A minute later, they arrived at the living room and settled onto the sofa.
Madam Layla looked at Yuan and spoke, "Yuan, tomorrow morning, I'll give you the reward I promised for successfully defeating the Lord of the Mountain and saving this village. I should've already given it to you, but with everything that's happened in the past few days, it nearly slipped my mind."
"Well, I don't bla you for that. I'm also responsible for the events that put your family at risk. And about the reward, I almost forgot about it too. If you hadn't brought it up, I might have completely forgotten," Yuan replied with a smile.
Because of how busy Yuan was with his wives, the reward for slaying the Lord of the Mountain and saving the village had slipped his mind. His wives also forgot about it, as a series of events unfolded after the Lord of the Mountain's demise.
First, it was the encounter with Henry Turner and his servant, followed by a confrontation with Henry's father, his butler, and a group of highly trained personal soldiers.
Today, it was the encounter with the officials from the kingdom who served under the king. Lastly, there were the two teachers from the Magic Academy.
After so casual conversation, Yuan turned to Madam Layla and said, "It's quite late now, we should probably head to bed."
"Now that you ntion it, it is late. I have a lot of work to do tomorrow. Thanks for reminding , Yuan," Madam Layla said, getting up from her seat.
"It's nothing, Madam Layla," Yuan smiled.
"Goodness! When will you start calling Mother-in-law? How many tis do I have to remind you?" Madam Layla said with a helpless smile.
"Well, I can't help it since I've gotten used to calling you that," Yuan replied, touching the back of his head with a grin.
"Is that so? I guess I can't convince you now to call mother-in-law... Sigh!" Madam Layla sighed and smiled awkwardly at Yuan. She said, "I will head to my bed now since I have a lot of work to do tomorrow. You should head to your bed as well, I guess..."
"Sure..." Yuan nodded with a smile. Madam Layla left the living hall, and Jas followed suit.
Ava and Julie exchanged a look, and Julie said to Yuan, "We'll be heading to our bedroom. Good night, Yuan..."
Before the two of them could take a step forward, Yuan stopped them. "Wait, you two!"

Yuan rose from the sofa, a mysterious smile gracing his face. He said to them, "Well, let's get going then. We have a lot to talk about once we enter my room."
"Gulp!" Ava and Julie gulped nervously upon seeing the enigmatic smile on Yuan's face.
"Fufufu~ Darling, you naughty boy, scaring the two ladies before bringing them to our room," Grace chuckled at Yuan, teasing him playfully.
"You two don't need to be nervous about it. If you're not comfortable, my dear won't force you... Co, let's head to our room now. Shall we?" Anna reassured Ava and Julie, noticing their nervousness. She extended a warm invitation to Yuan's bedroom.
Both Ava and Julie felt reassured after hearing Anna's gentle words. They nodded with a blush on their faces.
Yuan and his wives led the way to his bedroom, and Julie and Ava followed, their cheeks still tinged with pink. After a short walk, they arrived at the bedroom.
