"I can’t believe that Vrasha and Valeria would dare to sneak my darling away from under my nose... those two..." Anna Grace muttered with a sharp glint in her eyes, her voice low and filled with jealousy.

With a heavy sigh, she sat on the bed, hugging her pillow tightly and burying her face in it.

"I can’t even bla them, considering how charming and irresistible he is... they just can’t control themselves," she mumbled softly, her tone a mix of exasperation and longing.

Just then, Lily quietly crept up behind her and wrapped her arms around her shoulders. A playful smile curled on her lips as she whispered teasingly into her mother’s ear, "Mom, should we go and join them? It might be fun."

Anna Grace froze for a mont at her daughter’s mischievous tone, her cheeks warming slightly.

’This girl... how can she be so bold?’ she thought, sighing inwardly. Yet, she couldn’t completely deny that she understood those feelings all too well.

After a few seconds of silence, Anna Grace shook her head.

"No need," she said softly. "Let them enjoy their ti together. We’ll have our own mont with him later."

anwhile, Yuan lay in a quiet room with Vrasha and Valeria resting beside him, the air warm and calm after their shared ti together. Both won looked peaceful, smiling faintly as they drifted off to sleep, their faces glowing with contentnt.

Later, after freshening up, the three of them went to Mireya’s room. When they entered, they found Anna Grace still awake, sitting up with her arms crossed and a cold look on her face.

"So, you three finally decided to return, huh?" she said evenly, her voice carrying both annoyance and restraint.

Vrasha and Valeria glanced at each other, their faces flushed. Without a word, they quietly slipped under the covers and pretended to fall asleep.

Anna Grace exhaled softly, shaking her head before turning her gaze toward Yuan. Her eyes softened, though a faint spark of challenge flickered within them as she pointed toward the empty space at the center of the bed.

"Co here," she said simply.

Without wasting a single second, Yuan claid the bed and lay down in the empty space, glancing at his mother with a nervous look on his face.

’W-What is she planning this ti? Will she make suffer again?’ Yuan pondered inwardly, his heartbeat rising with anticipation and unease.

However, Anna Grace rely removed her clothes before climbing on top of him. Resting her head gently on his chest, she smiled softly as she listened to his heartbeat.

She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tenderly, her touch filled with affection. Yuan smiled faintly and kissed her forehead, making her blush and smile in return.

"Darling, when are we going to leave this continent? There’s nothing left here—no remains or traces of a cultivator’s civilization," she asked softly, her voice calm and gentle.

Yuan thought for a mont before replying, "In a few days. Mireya has sothing important to handle before we depart."

"Besides, we still have to visit the Misty Fox Village and the Lawless City before we leave this continent and head for the Demonic Continent," he explained with a faint sigh.

He, too, wanted to leave as soon as possible, for there was nothing left here that truly mattered. His main concern was the unknown passage of ti on Earth since his death.

It could have been hundreds of years... or perhaps even millennia. No one could say for sure until he returned and saw it with his own eyes.

At the sa ti, it was also possible that only a single day had passed since his death back on Earth. Yet one thing remained certain—he needed to return as soon as possible.

He couldn’t afford to delay; he couldn’t make her wait for him. The only problem was that he still hadn’t found a way back.

Before long, both Yuan and Anna Grace drifted into sleep. It had beco her habit to rest on top of him, and by now, Yuan was completely used to it.

In the Human Continent —

Two figures clad in shining silver armor soared through the sky atop a colossal Silver Eagle, its massive wings cutting through the clouds and casting an enormous shadow on the ground below.

The eagle, too, was armored, its chest protected by golden plating that glead under the sunlight. Despite the heavy armor, its speed was astonishing, slicing through the air like a streak of light.

Down below, the people of the Lionheart Empire panicked and scattered in terror upon seeing the giant eagle in the sky, believing it to be a monster attack.

Inside the Imperial Palace of the Lionheart Empire, Emperor Philip was having a drink with one of his wives on the balcony of his Imperial Chamber.

"T-That Silver Eagle... isn’t that from the High Heaven? Look at the golden armor it’s wearing...!!" Empress Selena exclaid as soon as she witnessed the giant eagle soaring through the skies above the empire. Her body trembled at the sight.

Emperor Philip imdiately looked up, and his expression froze the mont he saw the majestic eagle crossing his empire. He could sense two powerful auras emanating from the eagle’s back.

’What is this terrifying presence I’m feeling?! It’s making my entire body tremble for so reason... is this the power of a god?!’ He scread inwardly, utterly shocked and terrified.

"I-It’s heading in the direction of the Holy Light Empire... but why? The Holy Church was completely destroyed already!" Empress Selena muttered with a puzzled expression.

"We are re mortals, destined to die one day. We neither have the ability nor the authority to understand what the gods are planning," Emperor Philip said, his voice steady as he recovered from the initial shock.

"Indeed. We cannot fathom the will of the gods..." Empress Selena sighed and turned around, placing her wine glass on the table.

"It’s getting late. Let’s go to bed now; you have much work to do tomorrow," she said softly. "Furthermore, the Imperial Family of the Holy Light Empire will arrive tomorrow to reestablish their bond with our nation."

"Oh, I nearly forgot about that. It certainly brings back so mories of the past... it’s a pity the Holy Church destroyed our old friendship," Emperor Philip murmured as he gazed at the stars and sipped his wine slowly.

After setting the glass down, he returned to his wife’s side and sat on the bed, a small smile forming on his face.

With a hint of excitent, he muttered, "From tomorrow onward, our old friendship will be restored. Once that happens, both nations will prosper again."

"Indeed," Empress Selena replied softly before she began to undo her dress, striking a seductive pose before her husband.

Monts later, soft moans echoed from the Imperial Chamber, causing the servants outside to blush.

"Brother Zephar, do you truly think it suits us—gods—to go searching for a re mortal? What was the Goddess of Light even thinking? It’s completely beneath us!" Nerion complained in utter disgust while gripping the hilt of his sword tightly.

Zephar sighed deeply, shook his head, and replied, "Perhaps this mortal we’re after isn’t an ordinary man—he could be a demigod. After all, the Goddess of Light and the other gods wouldn’t have sent us to capture soone unremarkable."

"Indeed. This mortal must be sothing else entirely to have drawn the attention of us—gods. I’m actually looking forward to eting him," Nerion said, a keen interest in his voice.

"Sa here. I want to see why he’s so special. I’ll break him apart before I drag him back to the High Heaven!" Zephar growled.

So ti later they reached the Holy Light Empire and saw the site where the Holy Church once stood. Now there was only a massive crater visible even from the sky—so vast that both gods stared, eyes wide with disbelief.

"W-What kind of weapon of mass destruction could create sothing like this? The entire place is gone!" Zephar muttered, his whole body trembling at the sight of the gaping ruin.

"I-I have no clue," Nerion admitted in a low voice, clearly stunned. "But one thing is certain: whatever caused this destruction is a direct threat to us—gods."

"Not just dangerous... catastrophically dangerous. It could erase High Heaven’s existence in the blink of an eye," Zephar said, voice grave.

"Exactly. That’s all the more reason to capture that mortal as soon as possible."

"Indeed. Let’s head to the Beast Continent," Zephar said with a serious expression. "I’ve heard strange things happening there—this mortal is likely there."

Shortly after, they left the site and headed straight for the Beast Continent, with the Silver Eagle soaring at its peak speed.

Even though their pace was extraordinary, it would still take them a few days to reach their destination, as the sea’s weather was unpredictable and could change in an instant.

The sudden death of Emperor Raghar left the citizens of the Golden Lion Empire in complete shock and disbelief.

His wife, son, and other relatives perford the final rites with sorrowful hearts, sending his soul to the next life.

Princess Lindsey, however, couldn’t attend the ceremony as she was in a critical condition herself. All four of her limbs were broken—her bones shattered beyond recovery—and there was no hope of her ever walking again.

It had been three days since the tragic incident and her father’s death. She had refused to eat, her face had turned pale, and her body had grown weaker by the hour.

The loss of her beloved father struck her so deeply that, at first, she refused to believe it—thinking everyone was lying to her. But soon, the cruel truth sank in.

Her father, the man who had adored her more than anyone else, was slain by the hateful Queen Mireya. That revelation pierced her heart like a venomous needle, bringing pain far worse than any physical wound.

Unlike her broken body, the pain in her heart refused to fade. She felt utterly shattered, tornted by regret over her own arrogance and mistakes that led to this fate.

"If only I hadn’t been blinded by my pride..." she whispered weakly, staring blankly at the ceiling of her room.
