King Evander and Nerith felt an unbearable burning sensation in their chests, as though an entire mountain had fallen upon them, pressing them into the floor.
'What the hell is this pressure?! It's killing !!' King Evander scread inwardly, sweat covering his entire face.
Nerith, on the other hand, was utterly shocked. She had never felt such crushing pressure before. Her entire body trembled violently, her expression turning pale as she felt as though she stood at death's door.
'Just how powerful are these won to exude such terrifying pressure?! This is too much for to bear…' she thought while gritting her teeth in pain.
"You have no right to compare us with those lowly creatures! Don't you dare liken us to such half-humans!" Xi ili spoke, her voice laced with anger and unmistakable disdain.
As a Divine Beast bearing the lineage of the Primordial Chaos Dragon, her pride was unmatched in the world.
By comparing her to a re half-human creature, both Princess Nerith and King Evander had committed a grave offense.
The sa applied to Fang Xiaoyan and Long Yuyan. Both of them were Divine Beasts as well, and being compared to demi-humans had provoked their fury.
"We are Divine Beasts… to compare us to lowly half-humans is a kind of disrespect we cannot tolerate. It is humiliation in our eyes," Long Yuyan spoke, her sharp gaze filled with rage.
"Since you two were unaware of this, we will let it slide for now. However… there will never be a next ti," Fang Xiaoyan said with a dangerous glint in her eyes, a powerful killing intent bursting forth.
The mont King Evander and Nerith sensed it, their bodies froze and their faces turned deathly pale, as if their souls had already left them.
'What is this feeling?! It's so intense and overwhelming!! If this continues, I'll die at any mont!' the Vampire King scread inwardly, his entire body turning cold as sweat poured down his back.
The sa was happening to Princess Nerith. Her body went cold, her face drained of color as though she were already standing on the edge of death.
Suddenly, the pressure and killing intent vanished completely, and relief washed over them as they were finally able to breathe again.
'Terrifying! Absolutely terrifying! Just who are these people? Divine Beasts? What are those?!'
Countless questions arose in both Nerith's and Evander's minds, leaving them even more confused about the origins of the three won.
"Calm down, you three… there is no need to get so worked up about this. They simply do not know much about the world," Yuan said with a soft sigh, resting his hands on Xi ili's and Fang Xiaoyan's shoulders, which imdiately cald them.
He then looked at Nerith and Evander and added, "I apologize for their behavior just now. I hope you don't mind, since no one was hard."
"I-It's fine, since we were the ones who asked that question. I won't take offense," King Evander said after a deep sigh, trying to steady his mind.
" too…" Nerith spoke in a weak voice, still terrified, unable to look directly at Xi ili, Fang Xiaoyan, and Long Yuyan.
After calming herself, she gradually returned to normal and looked at Yuan with a deeply puzzled expression. As much as she feared the three won, she was also intensely curious about them.
Yuan took a deep breath and spoke, "Since you're so curious to know, I'll indulge the two of you for a while. I hope you will be satisfied."
With that, he began explaining, "Divine Beasts are creatures with imnsely powerful bloodlines—god-like beings. They stand at the very peak of existence with unmatched strength and power, and they possess incredibly long lifespans."
"A few thousand years an nothing to them. To put it into perspective, a few hundred years for them would feel like only a few months. They are far beyond your imagination and comprehension."
"Also, they can take on human form despite being beasts. And when they assu a human form, their internal organs and bodily structure change as well—everything except their dantian."
"The dantian of a human and that of a beast are fundantally different. An expert can easily tell whether soone is a beast or a human with just a single glance," Yuan explained calmly.
Both King Evander and Nerith looked at Yuan with dumbfounded expressions. They could hardly believe what they were hearing; it was beyond their wildest imagination.
"Xi ili here is a Dragon—not just any Dragon. She is a Primordial Dragon," Yuan revealed, shocking both Nerith and Evander.
He then turned to Fang Xiaoyan and Long Yuyan and continued, "As for Fang Xiaoyan, she is a Phoenix—a Primordial Phoenix, to be exact. And Lady Long Yuyan is also a dragon, an Azure Dragon."
"So, it would be best not to offend them. I can restrain Fang Xiaoyan and Xi ili, considering they are my wives," Yuan paused briefly before adding, "However, I cannot restrain Lady Yuyan."
"I-I understand…" King Evander replied in a trembling voice, sweat forming across his brow.
After learning that three such powerful beings were present in the room, his face had turned pale with concern.
"It's fine. There is no need to fear . I am not so mindless creature who kills for pleasure. Be at ease—unless soone provokes , I will not act against them," Long Yuyan said with a soft chuckle.
A few minutes later, King Evander excused himself and left the room.
Having learned of the dire situation at the border, his concern for the safety of his people weighed heavily on his mind. He imdiately decided to summon all the nobles for an ergency eting.
"Butler Sebastian, go and inform all the vampire nobles of my kingdom to co to the castle imdiately. An urgent matter has arisen that concerns the safety of the kingdom," King Evander instructed firmly, his eyes restless with worry.
"I understand, Your Majesty. I will convey the ssage to all the Noble Houses at once," Butler Sebastian bowed professionally and departed.
Once the butler left, King Evander gazed up at the stars and muttered in a low voice,
"Very soon… the situation will descend into chaos… The appearance of humans after a thousand years… is it a good on, or a harbinger of sothing worse?"
Within a short ti, all the noble houses received the King's summons to the castle. They did not delay and imdiately set out for the palace.
Since the King had called them so urgently, sothing truly grave must be unfolding. They all knew he would never summon them without reason—especially not unless sothing disastrous was about to happen.
