"Unbelievable... to think he had been hiding his trump card until now... Just how long has he been planning all of this?!" Queen Lilith’s voice was filled with disbelief, her legs trembling as she sensed the terrifying presence of the Death Worms beneath the sand.
Soon, the sand across multiple parts of the battlefield began to shift violently, forming massive whirlpools of sand. From within them, the Death Worms started erging one after another.
Their numbers continued to rise until they surpassed five hundred. Each one was unimaginably enormous, large enough to swallow a massive dragon whole in a single bite.
Witnessing such a horrifying sight, the allied forces completely lost their will to fight. Many fell to their knees, as though they had already accepted their fate—to be devoured alive by the Death Worms.
"GUAHAHAHA!! BEHOLD MY ARMY OF DEATH WORMS! YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE!!" The Undead King laughed madly as he stepped atop one of the worms and looked down upon the battlefield.
"Now let’s see how you deal with my army... No matter what, I will win this war and turn everyone here into my soldiers!" he declared boldly, his voice filled with endless resentnt toward the living.
"Go and destroy everything... leave no one alive..." He commanded both his undead soldiers and the Death Worms to attack anything that moved.
The undead imdiately picked up their weapons, and the mont they did, they turned their eerie gazes toward the allied forces.
In the next instant, they charged forward with unnatural movents, radiating a cold murderous aura filled with hatred.
"Soldiers! Prepare for confrontation!! Do not lose hope! We have a duty to protect our loved ones! We cannot fall here without a fight!" Emperor Rhex shouted while tightly gripping his sword, though his hands trembled uncontrollably.
Despite the exhaustion and fear consuming him, he still forced himself to stand firm and raise his sword in defiance.
Seeing this, the allied soldiers also tightened their grips on their weapons one after another, preparing themselves for battle. Their hearts pounded wildly as fear gnawed away at them from within.
Yet despite all of that, the thought of protecting their families and loved ones gave them the strength to raise their weapons and defend the border.
Soon, the two forces collided once more, and the battlefield was filled with the sound of inhuman screams and clashing steel.
Blood splattered across the battlefield as hesitation slowly vanished from the allied forces the mont they looked upon the monsters that had once been their comrades only monts ago.
Those beings were no longer their friends or brothers. They had beco enemies—monsters threatening every living being across the continent.
"I-I don’t want to do this... but I have no other choice. Forgive ..."
Many soldiers whispered those exact words before driving their blades into the hearts of the undead, destroying the cores hidden within their chests.
Though it pained them deeply to stab the very people they once considered friends, the reality before them could no longer be denied.
The people they once knew were already gone. What stood before them now were rely monsters wearing the faces of their fallen comrades.
Yuan shifted his attention toward the Death Worms that had begun wreaking havoc across the battlefield. Due to their enormous size and the toughness of their armor, the allied forces were completely helpless against them.
People scread in panic while others fled for their lives as the Death Worms rampaged across the battlefield, throwing the entire warzone into utter chaos.
Valeria had regained so of her strength and was attacking the Death Worms while infusing her blade with Sword Aura.
Her sword could easily cut through the worms’ tough armor, and she had already managed to kill several of them before exhaustion finally began catching up to her.
"Damn it... they’re simply too massive, and my sword can barely reach their vital organs..." Valeria gritted her teeth, her entire body drenched in sweat.
"This is becoming a serious problem for us," Julie said as she stood beside Valeria, having only managed to kill two Death Worms herself.
"Indeed. Their armor is incredibly thick, and their vital organs are hidden deep within their bodies. Ordinary attacks are nearly useless against them." Leah added while nodding, her hands trembling slightly.
Crack! Crack!
Suddenly, they heard the sound of ice shattering and turned just in ti to witness Lily freezing an entire Death Worm before shattering it into countless fragnts.
However, the attack ca at a cost. Lily had consud an enormous amount of energy to freeze such a gigantic creature into a solid block of ice, leaving her visibly exhausted.
"Damn it! These things are ridiculously hard to kill... I’m exhausted!" Lily cursed angrily, clearly unable to freeze another one imdiately.
anwhile, Emma was also struggling against the Death Worms because of the imnse thickness of their armor. Her poison required far more ti to seep into their bloodstream.
Even her punches weren’t dealing much damage. Although her fists possessed enough force to shatter mountains, the interior of the Death Worms was strangely rubbery, absorbing and dispersing the impact of her attacks.
Emma’s frustration steadily grew until she suddenly stopped attacking altogether.
However, her silence wasn’t surrender—it was preparation.
Her purple eyes began glowing with brilliant light as she prepared to unleash a technique she had never used before.
"These unusual worms are worthy targets to test my new technique on... I just hope they won’t disappoint ." Emma muttered quietly as an enormous amount of energy erupted from her body.
"Heaven Sundering Tyrant Fist!!" Emma roared as she unleashed a devastating punch toward a Death Worm.
The very air itself cracked beneath the overwhelming power of her martial technique, sending violent shockwaves across the battlefield.
Bang! Before her fist had even physically touched the Death Worm, the creature exploded into countless pieces instantly.
But that wasn’t the end of it.
The force of the attack continued surging forward, obliterating dozens of Death Worms in its path before finally dissipating into the distance.
The sight shocked countless people, including Yuan himself, who had been busy wiping out the undead attacking the allied forces. He imdiately turned his head the mont he sensed the overwhelming power behind Emma’s technique.
"Well, Emma seems to have beco much stronger after learning that new technique..." Yuan said with a proud smile before continuing to eradicate the remaining undead.
Once Yuan finished clearing out the undead forces, the allied army finally managed to breathe properly for the first ti in a while.
anwhile, Long Yuyan stared at Emma with her eyes widened in utter disbelief.
"T-That... that technique... Isn’t that the long-lost Ancient Grade technique—the Heaven Sundering Tyrant Fist?!?!" she exclaid, her voice filled with shock and disbelief.
