My Childhood Friend Turned Yandere in the Apocalypse Chapter 68: Ch 68: Spending a night with Shelly

"Ouch, Shelly, can you loosen your grip around my neck? It’s starting to hurt."

Shelly tightened her grip around Rin at his words and her nails left deep marks on Rin’s skin. Those marks hurt but Shelly was starting to look better so Rin allowed her to continue.

He waited until Shelly was satisfied and he finally pulled away from the hug and so Shelly could face him.

Her face still looked red, but it was much healthier now. Her breathing had also cald down and she was starting to look around.

"Rin, did I do a good job out there? Can you tell that I did well??"

Looking at Shelly right now reminded Rin of Myth. They both demanded praise in the sa way.

Rin was used to Shelly’s lack of confidence and he reached out to gently pat Shelly’s head.

"You did a good job. I know it must have been tough to fight those monsters, but you did an amazing job out there."

Rin assured Shelly and her eyes shone with joy. She wrapped her arms around Rin’s middle and pulled him into a hug.

"I will make you even prouder next ti. You can count on ."

Shelly promised in an excited voice and Rin kept patting her back. The marks on his neck were starting to throb and Rin decided to finally pull back from her and tend to these wounds.

"I am happy that you feel fine now. But I need you to let go so that I can treat the wounds on my neck."

Rin stopped patting Shelly and tried to turn around and sneak away. But Shelly kept her grip tight on Rin. Her voice turned a little darker when she spoke this ti.

"Are you going to have these marks treated by Reina? Can’t you leave them be as they are? I-It will make feel a little more reassured to see..."

Shelly’s words were unsettling and alarm bells started to ring in Rin’s head. Everything in him was telling him to run as far away as he could from her.

But reason won in the end and he forced himself to calm down and turn toward her.

"Shelly, the marks you left on my neck are deep enough that we can’t risk them getting infected. But I also have no intention of waking Reina or Alia up. I will bandage my neck for now and apply so dicine."

Shelly looked far from happy, but she slowly loosened her grip on Rin as she pulled back. Her eyes refused to leave his neck and Rin felt a sense of danger as he reached for the bandage in his inventory.

He noticed Shelly’s eyes following his every move and she even bit her lip as she watched her marks disappear under that bandage.

Finally, Rin finished and Shelly looked half relieved and half annoyed. The situation must be stressing her out and Rin felt partially responsible.

"If you are still not feeling better, then do you want to spend the night in your room and keep you company? I am not sure if it will help but-"

"Stay. Please stay the night with ."

Shelly gripped his arm and pulled Rin back toward the bed.

The system finally backed off, leaving Rin confused.

’What the fuck is wrong with the system now? Why is it behaving like Shelly is dangerous and I am a fool for trusting her? Has it started to malfunction?’

Rin questioned, but he did not have enough energy to think about it. Shelly’s warmth against his side was making Rin drowsy.

A soft pair of hands reached for Rin’s hair and patted him. It made him feel even sleepier when he closed his eyes.

He did not notice the look in Shelly’s eyes nor did he hear her mutter plans to lock him up.

"Rin is in my bed. It feels like a dream. Should I bind him so he couldn’t leave? Or maybe I should cut his legs off? No, his legs are lovely as well so I don’t want to hurt them. Maybe the pills..."

Shelly muttered her plans to keep Rin confined to her room, but none of them seed ideal at the mont.

She was still a little shaken by everything that had happened.

First, she got high from killing a lot of monsters. It had been an addictive feeling that made her body twitch and she ran to her room to calm down. She did not want to show this side of herself to Rin.

But he had co to find Shelly anyway and he had even held her. It fueled Shelly’s desires even more and now they were impossible to suppress.

Her hand lightly touched the marks she left on Rin’s neck and she frowned at the fact that Reina could heal them or a healing potion.

Shelly wanted to leave permanent marks on Rin that no one would be able to remove, no matter how hard they tried.

She wanted to make herself a part of Rin in a way that he wouldn’t be able to ever separate himself from her.

"Hmm, I should look for ways that could leave a permanent mark on soone’s body. I need to make sure that even healing wouldn’t erase those marks. Should I get a few ’volunteers?’ I am sure I saw so people eyeing Rin with ill intent."

Shelly humd to herself as she kept looking at Rin. Her desire kept growing as well.

The only reason she did not act on them was because she could imagine Rin’s disappointed face every ti she closed her eyes.

She could see him telling Shelly that he no longer liked her because she was annoying and threatening for trying to keep him hostage.

But that did not an she was giving up on her ambitions. Her mother had told Shelly that patience was a virtue and to catch a prey, she needed to start slowly and make Rin comfortable until he was no longer aware that he was caught in her trap.
