These premium techniques were costly, taking half of his entire fortune, but their advantages were undeniable. Kael rubbed his chin, analyzing them like a general planning a war.

That wasn’t bad compared to the Blood-Iron Asura Skin. While becoming stronger the closer he was to death sounded cool in a chaotic battlefield, it wasn’t practical for daily survival. An hour.
Nothing changed.
He was lucky it was past midnight. If a maid or guard walked into the room and saw the injured young master squatting in the dark like a lunatic, they would think the assassination attempt had made him crazy.
Kael gritted his teeth and kept going. The stab wound on his stomach throbbed violently. His frail thighs burned like they were on fire.
Four hours passed.
Nothing happened. Not even a single drop of Qi had gathered in his skin. He was sweating heavily, his whole body trembling from exhaustion. He broke his stance, gasping for air and frowning deeply. Did I ss up? Should I have bought the basic 20-point technique first instead of jumping straight to a premium one?
Sothing was really wrong. His new body was talentless, but it shouldn’t be this useless.
"System," he wheezed, sitting heavily back onto the edge of the bed. He opened the panel to see if he had enough points to just buy the basic technique instead.
